I connected mine Bose Solo Series 2 thru coax and the sound works great for the TV. I have also used the blue tooth button on the remote to play music from my phone. Which works great. The problem is when I try to switch back to the TV, I have to go into the TV’s audio settings and select coax output (again). I’ve tried using the top right button on remote (the computer icon) but that doesn’t work. The sound bar works GREAT with TV but the toggling back and forth between tv and Bluetooth is very problematic. Help?
I’m considering buying this for my Samsung Monitor. (Mostly for university work) I have house mates and if I wanted to steam my MacBook Pro thru the monitor, can I use the Bose QC 45 for this sound bar to watch movies etc?
@@Howtos_world yes but i am going to take it back ☆return it ☆ i have a Lot of cords in the back of my tall dresser & my new xbox series X PlayStation 4 & PS 2 and my TV is a 50 inch. I really regret not getting a small one it my room that small 2 dressers in my closet Which needs to be cleaned out
I just bought one today and I am trying to make it so I can control the volume of the sound bar with my lg tv remote and not the bose remote. I know you need to hook it up via hdmi but it has no hdmi port. Any other ways so I can simply use my lg remote?
Sure Matt. Can you please hook it up with Optical cable if your TV has optical port. Once you do, the TV, if it is smart TV, should prompt you on top right saying, do you want to control the volume of Bose Speakers connected....if it is not giving you the prompt then let me research what else can be done. Please let me know
@@Howtos_world it didn’t give me any kind of prompt. I was thinking I’d get a splitter/ adapter and plug the optical port into it and then the hdmi into the tv. You think that would work?
It surely does but the quality of sound certainly goes down. I had done the same with first version of Samsung TV that I had. Changing from optical port to HDMI certainly degrades the quality. Does your TV have Aux output, because Bose certainly does have Aux Input which will take that Aux cable IN and deliver the sound from the Bose. But controlling the remote however might not still be possible. But there are bundles of other options to do that. Like universal remotes. So let's check if you have Auxiliary ports.
@@Dom_Uchihaa this is just optical ! It TV is smart latest one then it identifies the new connection and prompts for controlling it with TV remote. If not then Bose has tiny small remote
so i basically got this from someone as a trade but later on i figured out that it did not come with remote. is there any way i can still use it or i do have to buy a replacement remote from bose website . when i hook it up and power it on , i hear a beep once but no indication or white light on the front. so does it mean its bad or just not powered on ? please advise
Hi Deep, the function volume up and down certainly could be controlled if you pair it up with some of latest TV remote but few functions like increasing/decreasing the base etc couldn’t be done. I also have found sometime to turn on the power with tv remote. So I use Bose remote. Only volume up and down works perfectly all the time with tv remote.
Thank you for watching the video. I will probably post the video for that too but it also depends the kind of remote you are using. You should have a section in the handbook provided that should have different ways to sync tv remote to control Bose. However, all latest smart tv will detect these smart Bose speakers and guide you through pop up on how to connect. The tv should be connected with optical cable to the speaker though.
@@Howtos_world I thought it would auto connect as well being I bought a brand new LG. It's my understanding after reading that it will only pair with IR remote controls not IF remote controls. My LG remote is an IF remote. Unless I'm missing something I don't think it will pair with the bose system. I have to connect to the bose soundbar with the bluetooth and my tv and then it works.
Sorry, I had forgotten to respond ….right side lighting is increase in bass….when it’s balanced then both left and right would glow up but if you continue to increase bass, the right indicator glows up reducing left one
Hi, click on Bluetooth button would make sound-bar searchable across other Bluetooth devices, for instance the Bluetooth button is clicked, now when you open your smart phone, iPhone or Android, it would see soundbar in it and you can connect
Power on off could be a trouble but rest function would work with TV removed it was paired already …if not then universal Bose remote might have to be purchased
Thank you for the time in making the vid! I actually bought one today! I appreciate it!

👋 hello everyone, is it possible to connect this speaker with some of the bose subwoofers? Thanks

@@Howtos_worlddid you finally manage to connect a subwofer to that soundbar? Thanks in advance

How do i hook yp my xbox series x and PlayStation. 4 sound.
Hi, they should be hooked up already to the TV right which is connected to the Bose. So sound should be coming out of the Bose. Isn’t it so ?
