Hey Mike, good to see you. Nice build! I love the Shou Sugi Ban burnt wood look. Beautiful! That will be great to have the cold or hot smoke option. I can imagine that it was a beautiful thing to sit and watch the first smoke rolling out of that thing. Awesome.
Hey Jay long time no talk! We haven’t been watching or uploading to TH-cam in months. Thought maybe it was time. Thanks for the kind words. We have really enjoyed the products coming out of the smoker, especially cheese and peppers. I was happy with how the smoker turned out as well. Not a big fan of TH-cam or big tech in general any more (if you couldn’t tell 🤣) but I need to catch up on your videos and see what y’all have been up to. And anyone else reading this, make sure you go check Jay and Gin out! They have a beautiful homestead in Washington State!
@@SquareOneFarms everybody needs breaks! Very understandable. I just want to thank you for replying to all your comments even though you aren’t making vids right now. That’s amazing
To keep water from coming into a pipe turn the scenes up , no water Well Enter from above. Static water comes from the ground upward and enters the pipe.
When you put your Seems on the bottom it will take on water because of the static pressure water comes in to the line from the bottom up. Put your seams on the top and it will receive no water.
Not as of yet. The smoker is a little inconvenient to get to at the moment for something that needs constant attention like a hot smoker, so we are still just using our smoker next to the house. But, the option is still there if we change our minds.
Great work! I have a quick question my husband and I came across your vid because we’re trying to learn how to build our own smokehouse. Where could we come across the fire door? Thanks in advance 😊
Below is a link to a kit. They seem to have gotten quite a bit more expensive since I purchased mine, but maybe you will have luck finding just the door. www.amazon.com/US-Stove-BSK1000-Cast-Barrel/dp/B000IO6RAA/ref=sr_1_12?brr=1&dchild=1&qid=1635877747&rd=1&s=outdoor-recreation&sr=1-12&th=1

Now that you’ve had this smoke house for a few years how’s it been working out for ya? I’ve made a few myself and they are a true game changer

Hey man where ya been? I like you’re videos but haven’t seen any in awhile.
We've had to take a break. I really appreciate your kind words! Hope to come back some time soon.

Year and a half in, and no water has entered the pipes or burner. It may depend on soil, but we are mostly sandy and haven't had any problems.
Just thought I would ask if the hot smoker got added.

Nice man she's a smoker

Very much so!
Dang, the music got ridiculously annoying.
Music's not for everyone
