My best friend since childhood & artistic partner died shortly after Edd did. I still closely associate Eddsworld and your circle of creators with him as we have been huge fans since the beginning. I actually didn't start therapy till a year ago. I just kept going and didn't deal with it properly which led to aa lot of bad things. It is amazing of you for sharing this. Thank you.

I caught this moment live and it's extremely powerful. Our family is currently dealing with the aftermath of the death of a family member, sorting out funerals and finances and all that beurocracy stuff, and in the chaos there's almost no time to actually grieve. I couldn't imagine going through that with all the world watching.

Parts and insights like this made the PBFB marathon stream just so damn good. Watching everything with totally different eyes 10 years later and even relating some similar lived experiences over that time.

I lost a friend very suddenly just over a year ago and yeah, I had the following week after the funeral booked off work by sheer chance. I thought it would be fine, I'll use that week to handle it, wind down a little and everything would be fine. I ended up getting ill that weekend and that week off suddenly became a week where I was trying to get better whilst trying to process what had just happened. And then it was straight back to work the week after. To this day, I know I've still not dealt with it. After finding out exactly what had happened August last year while on a night out from someone I had never met but also knew them, I broke down in public because I hadn't taken the time I needed. I know I'm still not over it because I never took that time to process.
Thank you for reminding me/us that we are still human and it's okay to take a break

I did the same with my dad's death. Edd passed 2 years before my dad, but I just. Went to swim practice the next day. Everyone was shocked I was there, but I had no idea what else to do. I went to school, I did everything like normal. And now its like 9 years later and I'm just here, feeling like the grief will be affecting me forever. Like something didnt heal and I'm still a child.

I feel so bad for you and the guys, it shatters me into pieces I might have discovered Eddsworld in 2018 but Edd will forever be someone I look up to in animation x

Thank you for sharing this. I remember watching back then the video where Matt and Tom broke the news that Edd was gone, and not only was it devastating to watch, but to this day I’m still amazed that they managed to record and edit a video about it so quickly, so soon. Same thing with the funeral’s PBFB video. I’m glad you have talked about it with each other as years went by, but I wouldn’t call your behavior strange. Unfortunately it’s what most people do, bottle it up. And sharing your thoughts on it is a very kind and humbling way of helping more people realize the value of stopping. So thanks again.

Its definitely apparent that the attitude at the time was to keep your heads high, which in some circumstances, would work.
However, this was a lot for all of you, to deal with.
I hope you're all in a better place now :)

I guess it can be argued that in that present moment, it could be considered a better idea to quickly "move on" and keep spirits happy?
I (as a fan back then) definitely enjoyed the months following seeing everyone was still making content, obviously i would understand if someone had taken a year off but theres just otherways to look at a bad situation and you shouldn't blame yourself.
