As a young teenager in the "TH-cam Boom" of the early 2010s, I wanted very badly to be just like you when I grew up. You, and of course, a bunch of others like you. While much of what you've worked on -- known and unknown to us -- may never be finished, you having been you and doing what you did put a fire in so many of us that inspired us to create, to find ourselves, and to at least try to leave our marks on this world. Lots of us now are approaching our thirties, or endeavoring through them, and the idea that things may never have closure is a reality for the lot of us as well. Whether those things be our aspirations and dreams, or projects, plans, or relationships. Yet, as you note, there is something beautiful about having endeavored to begin them. Do know, Chris, that you were the reason a lot of us dared to begin. Thank you.

I'm younger than you by quite a bit, I'm going to be 26 this year and 2022 and 2023 were years of grief, loss, and trying to contended with those things. Honestly, I needed to hear that. I felt like a failure for a lot of things that I could not control. Thank you for being open about this.

I have the full set of Captain Baculum and am very pleased that I do. At least this soul has read and enjoyed them. Well done for finishing and still celebrating that, Bing.

"and it took from me things I didn't know I could lose."
    Fucking oath.

I just want you to know that I still routinely say to myself "My motif was bread!" and I don't think I will ever stop

That last line truly hit home - and WHAT A DAY for you to re-release this clip.
Just spent the past 2 years making a 23 minute animation to conclude a youtube series I started in 2021... finally uploaded it, but after all those hundreds of hours editing, hardly anyone watched it.
Your short speech about Captain Baculum made me realise, yeah, sometimes you just need to be pleased with closing a chapter in your life, and if it's important to you - even if it isn't seen by anyone else - it's worth every second of the journey you took to get there.

Thanks for sharing this, Chris. Losses might keep growing but so do we. We have to learn to grow around around them😊

This was good, Bing. This was good. I'm sorry man. I've kind of grown up alongside you since the early early days, just watching this stuff. Life gets like this for everyone around this time, I swear. Everything ends up alright. It was a good ride. It wasn't just worth it for you. I can say that much. Making these things makes us who we are too.

I wanna see you get all the success man. I know I was a parasocial fanboy of what you and all your friends got up to back in the day, but it truly puts a smile on my face to know you're all still out here doing what you love.

I had this recently where I was at an extremely low point and I hadn't made out in a while and I was able to pick up a pen and draw, and it felt powerful. It feels good to flex a muscle like that for yourself

It's good to remind ourselves we have no free will, only the illusion of it. It takes the pressure and blame off ourselves and puts it on the universe.
