yeah, the specs are better on POCO, but Pixel destroyed it in camera performance as expected. Also I can imagine that the Pixel will have much better support from Google.
Absolutely, pixel's camera performance was amazing and yes indeed, better support from Google.
Not only specs are beter on the F5 pro. It's a better allrounder. The camera is good enough although not as good as the Pixel camera, but something I can live with. We all know Xiaomi camerasoftware will be improved over time. I think I even would prefer the normal F5 for €130 less.

Thanks for the comparison as this is what I'm looking for to replace my old phone these days. Dual Sim is a must for my work so Poco is a no brainer here for me. Plus I don't take photos that much so I can tolerate the image/ video quality.

For Canada, Pixel 7a is currently $600. F5 is also $600 but 30% off sale, regular price is $850 which is significantly more expensive. I'd wait for 7a on sale which will be even cheaper.
In Brazil, 256GB Pixel 7A is 1357USD; 512GB Poco F5 Pro is 891USD.

Have you tried using the poco f5 pro with mobile data in the city/rural area? I know poco phones don't have all the bands in the usa so I was wondering how bad it was.

Poco literally puts shame on 7A. 7A does take better photos(well duh), but the video 4K 60fps performance of Poco is great. Furthermore, Poco actually has laser autofocus which none of the reviewers mentions. Don't know the software performance yet.
Most reviewers don't mention the laser autofocus cause it emphasis where Google needs to improve at when it comes to raw non computational manuel photography.

If you have a Chinese friend, you can ask him to buy Mi 13 for you. The price of mobile phones in China is about 40% cheaper than in foreign countries. Xiaomi can also use Google play outside of China, and Xiaomi's annual flagship phone can support more frequency bands.

Man I'm desperately searching for reasons to get the Pixel because the Poco F5 Pro camera is so disappointing.
Those numbers don't actually show the actual performance. U know that Pixel phones are optimised. Maybe for gaming Poco F5 Pro is a better choice. But how about others areas? Just for the video and camera, Pixel blows aways the Poco. Pixel 7a can also handle games but the heaviest ones and played a very long time it'll get hot.
The buying option is if what really matters for you.

These synthetic benchmarks don't really do much for real world performance among phones like those shown in the video. I'm sure that the 7a is faster at video rendering for example.

Poco F5 ( normal, non pro ) or Google Pixel 7a ? I am not a phone-gamer and in terms of longevity, and overall support / updates the Pixel seems like the better Choice ? Even though its 100€ more expensive than the Poco here. Is it worth buying even though the Poco has better battery, more storage, more ram, better display, faster charging.... ? THANKS! If you're concerned about longevity, POCO is a very reliable brand. I have been using the Poco F4 GT for over a year and it's still going strong. The quality of Xiaomi/Poco phones are actually quite good. Yes Pixel 7a has a better camera system and really great software, but it's amazing what you get with the POCO.

Well, my last Smartphone, the Honor View 10 (android 10 lul), i been using for 5 years and sadly dropped it a few days ago, broke the display, it was working still very well. So "over one year" is a value for me that doesnt sound so high, hehehe. I would like to use either of these phones at least 3 years. Or is that something extraordinary these days ? It's just a phone to 99% of the buyers, it answers Facebook messages WhatsApp and takes pictures, so yeah it will still be good for that even in ten years, hell my 6p probably still will be

Would love to see Pixel experience ROMs for the F5 and F5. Would become a beast like F3/ F4. You would essentially get the same smooth software as Pixel with extra features, unlimited instant updates via OTA like Void UI (Even Poco F1 is still going strong in terms of custom ROMs) and better optimization on GCAM ports should make this interesting since it has OIS (which F3 lacked). Imagine Pixel OS on Snapdragon 8 plus gen 1 and 7 plus gen 2. Excellent battery life with 67w charging speed.
Yeah its gonna be faster than miui (there isnt anything worst than miui) but still not a pixel. Cameras are still trashes though. Of course you get more bags and stability problems too. The best way to get pixel experience is just buying a google pixel phone. Gcams on my xiaomis run like shit and you cant get all camera settings to work. So i just throw away all xiaomis and just buy a cheap pixel 6a. Way better experience without even trying to change anything. And its only a 300€ device!!! Believe me pixel os is way better on tensor g1 and g2 than running it on 8gen1/8gen2/A15/A16 or anything else. Tensor g1 and g2 are made to run pixel os!!! I just buy yesterday my second pixel device. Its a pixel 7a than feels waaaaay better on everything than an overpriced xiaomi 13.

The main reason for me not buying any pixel phones are choices . Lack of options on storage and options in general just suck. I'm not a one size fits all kind of person. Not when I have options with every other manufacturer . They've had phones out long enough to have their shit together by now. No bs excuses . Samsung not only offers different sizes and colours here in Canada they REALLY sell them. Pixel has offered but never sold a 512gb storage phone in Canada .... Ever! That's bs pixel. So suck on that!.... vigorously!
Google Drive, and you have unlimited storage... Pixel will get more support and updates, that alone makes it a better phone. Saying this as someone who had some flagship Xiaomi phones, they are the worst when it comes to support or updates.

I use f4 and as a user I only note on the software, it does not have anything beautiful, but only on global versions, but if I use the China version, you will find many features and updates that arrive quickly.

The pocket mode on this phone for sure doesn't work at all. To compare pixel phones works perfectly. Cover the top of the phone and either double tap to wake or wake the display. The screen comes on and is fully interactive.
I've pocket dialed numbers today like an old person that doesn't know how to lock their phone. But my phone was locked.
What's the point of fitting a proximity sensor if you're not going to use it Xiaomi? It takes seconds to test this, how could you not have tested this before releasing your phone?

Synthetic benchmarks are overrated loool. Manufacturers program phones to spike performance (which is unsustainable for long periods in real word computations) resulting in those large numbers that 99% of users never get to use anyway.
There's nothing flagship about g2 chip. That chip is slightly overclocked snapdragon 888, Samsung fab, few years old.

So let me give you a real review, they both look uninspiring and boring, the poco has a glass back that will slide off everything including our of your fingers which will cause you to drop it, none of them have any sort of design that will protect your display if they fall down like some sort of raised bezel or some sort of rubber between the screen and frame or anything of the sort, its not a priority for these companies if you break your phone.
They both have high performance CPU's which is bad because it means you will play games on your phone which destroys your brain and teaches you to gamble, worse than that, this means both of them will suck in battery performance, because the higher the performance, the higher the power draw.
All smartphone main cameras suck, these suck too, low resolution, low details, just pure garbage, also they didn't provide a zoom cam, my Xiaomi Mi 8 takes better photos than most phones on the market today, because the market has been degrading for years without us noticing.
If anything, buy the Poco cause they give you a charger in the box.

@@arnellotino8133 Cases, sure. Tempered glass.. well it's all tempered glass on phones, it was always tempered glass since the first Iphone so they all scratch the same. What's different is the coatings that can make a small difference, but don't expect much and it's not a difference in hardness or anything like that, it's just that a very slippery coating can make stuff that would otherwise bite and scratch with little pressure, have a lesser chance of doing so. But in the end it's all very similar.
