Incredibly helpful, I'll be following this setup before attempting my 61 mile charity run in 3 weeks! Thanks
That's great to hear, thank you for your feedback! And the best of luck for your charity run 💪
Great advice to prevent blisters. I will be doing a 1200 kms walk across Spain when the pandemic allows and don't want blisters. I have ordered the Hapla-band already. Thank you.
Brilliant!! So very helpful. Thanks.
Nice video!!! Cutting off ears is a great tip (instead of making a bunch of little creases, gather into one and remove).
i think i have a problem
Great video. Thanks. What thickness of Hapla do you use please? Cheers
Where can I get Hold of this Hapla Band? Can’t find the adhesive stuff
Would zinc oxide tape work well?
What liquid first use
This is so helpful - tried it last weekend and worked a treat. Would you redo this every morning of MDS, or would you keep the tape on for several days? My impression is to let the feet breathe, keep clean, etc.
Tape every morning of the MDS - its essential
@@ultrarunneradam thanks
Would KT Tape work for this application?
Hi Joey, good question! Any tape will work to some degree, Hapla-Band is a podiatry specific tape so performs pretty well in terms of skin adhesion and surviving in-shoe, whereas KT Tape is a Kinesiology tape that is mainly suited to muscle taping. I guess it depends on the conditions and how long you would need the tape to stay on for?
Why does it always look so gloomy in the UK?
On a more serious note, great advice Sir. What was the liquid? Tea... (no pun intended)? Is there any alternative to this? I've been wearing my Nike futsal shoes called MagistaX Proximo. It's those new high collar type of shoes.
Been wearing them for at least 5 times but I still keep on getting blisters on my achilles heel. I rest for a week and try them on again and it'll just get bigger. So I am on the post blister stage.
Tincture of benzoin
Hi does the benzoin help the tape stick, I tried the halls band on a clean dry foot and it disintegration by the time my 10m run was complete.?
Haplaband
Hi Dan, yes the benzoin is an antiseptic but also a glue for the tape. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
@@RunUltra Thank you! I Shall nip to boots then :-)
Why are you taping the toes? Personally, my blisters are always medially oriented in relation to the digits of the foot.
Arian Bashtar my big toes have big fuck off caluses, and have cracked open in the past. Taping will prevent this.
Hi, what kind of tape did he say was used?
Hi, it's called Haply-band!
Ah, it's not available in the States. Thanks so much for the prompt reply!
No problem, happy to help! Are you Following us on Twitter? If so, pop us a message and we'll RT to our community and see if any other fellow US runners have suggestions on which tape(s) to use. @RunUltra_UK
Hapla-band.
Look for Luekotape in a local medical supply store or online on Amazon. Works great!
Now I know why Manny Pacquiao have tapes on his toes.
