Great Video TazMan ! Love the sound of that saw. I also think that the X-cut had a slight edge. But that could just be me as a die hard Husky fan. Haha. Anyway, have a wonderful week!
Awesome video and great fun to watch - great stuff there TazMan! I did a study to your video just because I can :-) and checked the timing. The X-Cut is a tad smoother and cuts faster. The trend is that each cut you make is slightly faster than the previous one similar for both chains. All in all from measuring the times in your video the XCut chain is 10% faster. Might seem small but working a full day it makes a difference. Thanx for sharing XCut here I come!
The xcut may have depth gauges set 10% lower from the factory. It sounded like the saw had more load with the xcut vs stihl. I know stihl chain has some taller depth gauges from the factory. Hit both with a progressive raker gauge and then test. I bet it's dead even.
It seemed close, but the x-cut looked like it was faster out the box to me. I very much enjoyed the video TazMan, thank u!! Hope your week is roll'n good friend. 🌲✌❤💪🔥🌲
Will do for sure Bruce. Thank you so much. I am in the process of trying to get a cartlon chain in the 3/8 low pro for my limping saw. I can get some cartlon from the saw shop I go to. 🌲❤🌲✊🪓
Hey Tazman, Awesome video. Love comparison videos. Give us the viewers a chance to see which one we might want to purchase. Thanks for sharing. Granted this video is a couple of months old, seeing the snow falling gave me some relief (not literally) from the heat wave we have been having in Montreal Canada. 38 degrees Celsius or 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Stay safe. Be kind everyone.🪓✊🏻
Thats a sweet saw Taz. What year is it? My first xtorq was a 2015 372. The clutch side bearing didn't last an afternoon. My dealer was really good though, they gave me a brand new saw the same day.
Bully it is a 2018 2019 I do believe. Was a holdover saw at the shop. It seems to be working pretty well. Glad your dealer takes care of you. Mine wood do the same I'm sure. 🌲❤🌲✊🪓
@@tazman-kennyfuller Thats sweet, its a good looking saw Taz. Thats the only time my dealer helped me out, usually they suck pretty bad. Usually prices are high and they never have parts so they get ya on the parts and you pay for shipping.
@@jolkraeremeark6949 Still have it but converted it to an older OE big bore 75cc. The only xtorq saw I have is a 365 my dad runs. I mainly use Stihls now, I have a 1997 371xpg I run alot too.
Is this a Full Chisel vs Full Chisel (non safety) chain comparison? Cause I could've sworn he says round at some point in reference to the Stihl chain.
Thank you Big Bear. This comparison is with Full chisel chain. One is stihl chain and the other is Husqvarna x cut. Stihl chain round filed. No safety chain involved. 🌲❤️🌲👊🪓
@@tazman-kennyfuller i think thats where I got confused. By "round filed" you mean it was sharpened vs a brand new Husky chain? Sorry I'm new to the chainsaw world, having just bought my first "serious" chainsaw (I bought a lightly used Makita EA6100P, from Home Depot for $315).
Hahahahahhaa hey there you are buddy. Hope it was a fair shake for both chains. Let me know if there is something else you wood like to see. Thank you Scott🌲❤🌲✊🪓
I was waiting for your comment on the x cut….. never came ? You commented on the stihl chain but not on the x cut at all just crickets and snow ? Well by my caveman timing the x cut was about a full 1 second quicker and of course as a 2 cycle gets warmed up it produces more power. I watched you do a lil warm up cycle but like most nobody ever tells anyone it’s important to do along with cool down very important everyone on these machines you spend a lot might as well take care of them right ! My husqvarna 572 XP cost me a bunch and get this the dealer put stihl chain on the sucker i was pissed ! Its like putting a ford motor in a chevy guy should be ____ ! LoL HEY TAZ DUDE where ya from ? Looks cool where ya are ! Thx for the video.
Hello and thank you for your support Jeff. The X Cut in my opinion and in my experience is faster and smoother. The tooth is narrower on the X Cut than on the Stihl chain. Thank you for watching Lemur. The XCut and Oregon are much smoother in the cut in my opinion. If you look closely at the Xcut and the Stihl side by side the Stihl has a wider tooth. They both cut nice but I prefer the Xcut or Oregon over Stihl. Much appreciated.🌲❤🌲✊🪓

My son just put a X-Cut C85 (18", 3/8, 0.058") chain on his Johnny Red CS2258. So far, he loves it.
from what i saw and heard is that the x-cut allowed the saw to sing higher and cut smoother . good stuff . stihl is a big cutter tooth
I'm thinking about buying a proper chain grinder, any suggestions?
