    The problem with guarding Steph is any lapse in concentration could lead to a 10-point-Steph-run in under a min. And if Steph gets that 10-point Steph run going, the rest of the team gets hot and you have a 20-point avalanche coming. The man has the greatest momentum game in the history of the NBA.

AI was a killer on every play and wasn't looking for a pass. Nobody could stay in front of him. Kyrie is no where near as quick or fast as AI and finish on EVERYONE. 3:00 - 3:40 mega factsssss!
    Kyrie for most of his career had a top #75 player to help spread defences. Lebron, KD, Harden... Now Luka in Dallas... Kyrie has always had significantly better offensive teammates to take pressure and spotlight off of him. The game now also is more 3pt oriented, which also contributes to diluting defensive intensity in the mid range and paint where AI was cooking. Furthermore, AI was straight up running at the Shaq's, TD's, KG's, Dikembe's, Mournings in the paint, as well as being hunted by the Kobe's, GP's, Stockton's at the half court, with double teams in between... He faced far more intense defenders.
    People saying Kyrie is disrespected here truly don't understand the magnitide of what I just mentioned above. Gil and K-Mart know that AI was just a different beast. Also, considering the fact that AI is 5'11 with the same amount of scoring titles as KD makes it all the more insane how gifted he was.

    • @TREZZYism
      @TREZZYism 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Someone could say kyrie not having that green light because he of those teammates hurts him in this argument cause if he didn't have to share the ball with Bron k'd and now Luka he could drop 50 in his sleep even with the focus on him. 1 difference between him and Ai is the 3 point shot. He can break down a defense by himself cause you can't clog the paint. He'll drain 3s all day if you give him those shots. A double isn't effective either, we've all seen what he did to that team usa team. He's gonna get his buckets regardless 🤷🏾‍♂️

    Both are hard as hell. Acting like it's AI all day is craaaazy. WTH are you going to do to stop Kyrie? Not a damn thing. Besides THE GOAT, those are my 2 favorite players ALL TIME. No bias at all.

      You're missing their point. Kyrie needs the ball, and then he dances with it, killing time. A.I was heading for the basket, no brakes, no time to skill you to death. And when kyrie shows out, he's usually with another massive offensive threat, whereas A.I was basically the whole offense

    Once again tho I think the team component is important ! Guard Steph on the teams AI had or AI on those same teams I m pickin steph up I don’t want that smoke with AI cause those teams weren’t gonna draw the attention to buy Steph the time off the ball to slip a defender the same way his GS team does. His team you have to respect the guys on the floor because of how well they play as a unit. AI didn’t have a “scary” second in line. What makes steph dangerous is his teammates ability to play and having him run around keeping the defense honest. Because hey we couod kick it to klay too

    Kyrie has multiple games where he scored over 40 with 70+% had a 50 something point game with 82.6%. Ai doesn’t have none so that obvious answer is kyrie he will drop just as much as AI while doing it more proficient. But people not going to give him his props it’s cool

    This is facts and why counting stats mean nothing without understanding context. The whole defense was designed to stop AI. Kyrie gets to play 1v1 because he's been lucky enough to play with other offensive weapons.
