I personally hate dragging trailers of any type around , they are just a pain .

Really Not very practical for work to have drop down sides but no tie down rails though, and he'd be pushing the GVM with a couple passengers and a camper, I understand why you don't want to go over 4.5 though. Definitely purpose built and probably going to suit this guy real well.
Hey Nick, the middle diff is a drive through low mount ford 9” pinion and the rear diff is the standard mid pinion Toyota center. Looks a bit funny because the drive through tailshaft has to go from a 0 degree angle from the bottom of diff to a 0 degree angle to the middle of the rear diff. The angles are the same just the tailshaft has to travel vertically to meet the flanges. Hope that makes sense!
for the total cost of this rigg, you can get a vehicle that has more clearance, 12x auto/manual box, far better ride and many more positive attribution

The middle wheels remain in factory position, as Darcy said the rear set accounts for the extra length. The over hang from the rear wheel back is the standard overhang on a 4x4 79 series.
I don't understand why people feel they need to take so much stuff with them when they travel. The enjoyment is being on the road, free and easy away from your normal life, not taking your house with you! I would rather be in a Jimney with a tent than drive that around.
