For folks confused about why Salubri are referred to as a bloodline here: it's because that's what they've always been considered in the modern nights. Since White Wolf introduced them in the VtM 1E Player's Guide, they've been referred to as a clan-turned-bloodline by virtue of their massively diminished numbers, and the lack of any real remaining elders. Yes, they were originally a clan, and are listed as such again in V5 (since bloodlines really aren't a thing there), but they were considered a bloodline from 1st through 20th VtM.

As a person who got immediately fell in love with the Kiasyd after your previous video on bloodlines that would probably not get added to 5e. I must admit lack of bloodline options was one of the main reasons I switched over to older editions.
If you want to go with the continued theme of the weaver, having the silk be produced from a finger works quite well, with hardened silk taking the place of a nail.
As a Salubri apologist, while they were reduced to the numbers of a bloodline, they were an actual clan once and not an off-shoot like let's say Mariner Gangrel. You could argue to cut Ravnos for the same reason, but I'm actually happy we have both as playable options. Also, from the V5 mechanics perspective you can't treat them as a bloodline like the various Hecata ones because you wouldn't have a clan to use as a base for them. While there is a standalone loresheet for the Daughters of Cacophony, due to those restrains, it sort of kind of alludes that you might have some of their blood, but not necessarily.

For the record, if you use any ability, your third eye starts bleeding.That's pretty bad, but that sets off the second part of your bane, your blood is SUPERNATURALLY DELICIOUS AND THE SMELL OF IT MAKES ALL YOUR FRIENDS WANT TO DRINK YOU.

to be fair in the lore Salubri (and cappadocians) are one of the original 13 clans but Tremer diablerized their clan founder and had his pseudo-vampire bloodline diablerize his childer to become full vampire so Tremer pretty much wiped out the clan and replaced them with only a few survivors in the modern nights
Lore of The Bloodlines will inform you there's actually a lot more Salubri than you think, you know, from the healer caste not the warrior one, gotta say though, that rumor about the 7 or 8 or whatever left is kinda the same sketchy tactic that baali use to divert attention from themselves.

The Salubri warriors answer to Adonai, who joined the Sabbat solely in the name of revenge against the Tremere. And the watcher caste are just... sort of around? They're very mysterious but they just seem to me like victims of their obsessions than anything else.

Where Drauger are the land ghouls of the graveyard and come in great numbers, the Draugen is a singular entity that embodies the fear of death on the water. The Draugen is often encountered late at night by the riverfront and will be sitting on something you need, stopping you in your tracks and forcing you to acknowledge it. But if you sail at night you will never see the Draugen until it's far, far too late.
I run a game where I'm flat lifting whole sections of Orpheus' metaplot and introducing ghost shenanigans which are part of a Sabbat infiltration of the city. My players are rolling between supernatural detectives, ghostbusters, and running from the local angry werewolves who are pissed off about the spirit world getting fucked up by various kine and kindred fucking with the afterlife nearby.
this has me thinking of the slavic vampire myth of the boneless sack of flesh and blood that would roll over someone in their sleep and suffocate them, and the idea is fascinating. obviously a mix of tzimisce and nosferatu or the offshoot mutation of gargoyle experiments, absolutely masquerade breaches, maybe vaguely feral but with lower generation abilities. i'm excited to actually try and homebrew some stuff now!

Their whole shtick is basically ancient greek sorcerors. the greek branch are known for their familiars in the form of Black dogs. it is said this bloodline and their companions are as one. They worship the goddess Hecate, and believe she created them to protect all wanderers, gates and black hounds. There used to be other branches but the only surviving one is an Irish one who use ravens instead. They follow one of the Three Morrigans. Morrigan, Babd or Macha. Depending on whom they follow their disciplines change. By the way who they follow is contigent on their first dream that they receive as their embrace changes them. where of the three will choose them. the Dream is often described as the Goddess arguing with herself as she judges as to who they would be most useful for. I still need to balance the bloodline (and name them) but I hope at least my idea inspires someone.

I loved the video! I’ve been wanting to run VTM 5e for my friends and I’m always looking for new inspiration or advice. I’ll have to show this to some of my (hopeful) players to spur some creativity.
It would make a fair deal of sense for the Draugr to have some sort of blood sorcery. Maybe even recreate the good ol' fashioned Koldunic Sorcery for them. Draugr were capable of weather manipulation. On an interesting note an Icelandic Draug by the name of Glamsýni would probably be a Maeghar Draugr. Glamsýni of the Grettis saga was, by VtM logic, very recently embraced when he encountered Grettir. Glamsýni had the typical Draug traits. He was a corpse and very strong. However, when he died the last thing he did was curse Grettir. With his final breath he cursed Grettir to never again grow stronger. He cursed him to with rage spoil his victories. Finally he cursed him to never be restful in sleep, as the eyes of Glamsýni would follow him in the shadows forever. His curse was threefold and we know how changelings love their rule of three. He was an Icelander native and a Pagan, killed and made a Draug by another Draug who kill him on behalf of God for the high sin of blasphemy to a priest's face. A Kinain with Troll parentage being a dick to a priest before being killed and embraced by a Draugr, only to come out what would have been known as Kiasyd at the time, would be very fitting. He was super strong, has the appearance of a rotted corpse, and had some manner of magic. His name is a root for the word "glamor". Maeghar gain two of their sire's disciplines and Mytherceria.
Honestly I'm more interested what players do with WoD than whatever the publisher decides is canon. Coming up with backstories to justify your homebrews is really fun for creative writing and gets more campaign ideas going.

I am disappointed to see no Sparkly Vampires on this bloodline list. I am of the firm opinion that if WoD had been written 20 years later there would have been a whole sparkly clan!

A bloodline of the Clan Malkavian. Although I assume that they could believe themselves to be the original clan and other Malkavians a bloodline just like Bruja-True Bruja and Cappadocians-Giovanni.
Just responding to the beginning few minutes, but true lol Salubri is difficult to call a Clan (since Tremere usurped them via diablerie) and more of a Bloodline due to how few of them they are (though, depends if 5th edition keeps Saulot taking Tremere's body or not as Saulot was very important to the Metaplot in the older editions, and I still need to read 5th edition's lore to see what's in the books). Though, I do like that they made Salubri a Clan, but I wish they incorporated the Bloodlines better as Hecata is really the only one that seems to have brought attention to them. And time to watch the rest of the video!
Yaaaaay, love hombrew))) I sometimes hombrew minor Banner Houses for CtD PS: you have double : in one of the timecodes PPS: Leshiy is what official CtD sourced use for some Inanimae (mainly Cuberas and gladeling mannikins) of Russia. Me, I use them as a local parlance for Ghille Du. PPPS: TOTW might also use kinain mechanics for using cantrips, especially dark arts.
A few months ago I read the V5 rule book and came up with something like this. He was a mix blooded vampire with Potence, Fortitude, and Celerity. His bane was preadators presence which simply made everyone around him intensely uncomfortable, including other vampires. His compulsion was a prey obsession which would compel him to hunt and feed upon a specific entity, often supernatural in nature. His primary ability was to suppress the signs of diablerie.
This gives me an idea for a bloodline that's an amalgamation of Clans Gangrel and Tremere, they're basically vampire druids. Their disciplines are Thaumaturgy and Animalism but they also have access to Koldunic Sorcery. I haven't decided on a name for them or a bane/compulsion yet though.

I like the publication of all of Vampire Secrets (tm) idea, it reminds me of Jim Butcher's Black Court vampires getting screwed by Bram Stoker and his book. Absolutely, silk-out-the-butt. Modern trends like blockchain, cryptocurrency, and ai "learning" (leeching) off of the talent of others DOES seem very vampiric in nature, so Phreaks would fit right in to all of that. LOVE changeling vampires. I really like all the overlapping creatures of WoD, and always thought (for example) an Abomination made for a compelling, but tragic character of npc concept. An aspect of WoD I've been surprised was never developed out more was a water-based clan/bloodline. Pirates of the Caribbean-style relentless undead from thousands of years if humanity's naval history, swamp/bog-dwellers, and lake haunters feeding off of sailors, the unluckily stranded, and stupid and/or drunk partiers. I used to use the Samedi for this in old games (desiccating powers), but its always felt like a missed opportunity publication-wise.
Draug or Draugr are spirits from Scandinavian beliefs that guard graves, barrows, and cairns. They possess corpses or empty suits of armor or even just weapons, causing them to float and attack intruders. The Draugr from Skyrim aren't the corpses you fight. Rather, they've possessed corpses around the tombs you find and you can't actually get rid of them. In the Witcher 2, you encounter Draugr that have possessed suits of armor, but a curse has redirected their enmity towards people that have wandered onto a former battlefield instead of into a burial ground.
I have a homebrew Bloodline, the Vaerminus who are infused with an insect swarm during their Embrace which eats them from the inside out and becomes one with them. (Inspired by the daughters Dimitrescu). Anyway, I can absolutely Arrange vampires mistaking a Spider Vaerminus as one of their own, for some amusing hijinks.
Wait I have a question regarding the distaste with the Salubri (which is fine btw to each their own) but you've suggested LA by Night as being an excellent actual play. So what's your take on Annabelle as a character within that Chronicle given she acts in many ways similar to the Salubri, her feeding preference is even their weakness in V20.

It's cool to see some original content for Vampire, most typical Storyteller players would stake you alive for doing it.
I've never played this game before. I don't even know what I would do if I wanted to play it, since no one I know plays it. But burgerkrieg's oration captured me for this hour
It's a well written set. Every time I thought there'd be some barrier to storytelling, you already had it covered later in the video.
I feel like Impart Memory would allow for a Starcraft 2 reference so easily. Someone doesnt believe what your saying, so you just press your hand to their forehead and say "Believe" while imparting a memory.

Salubri are more of a clan than the Tremere
Clan Chocula with their Breakfast Focused Disciplines.
A bloodline of the Clan Malkavian. Although I assume that they could believe themselves to be the original clan and other Malkavians a bloodline just like Bruja-True Bruja and Cappadocians-Giovanni.

Just responding to the beginning few minutes, but true lol Salubri is difficult to call a Clan (since Tremere usurped them via diablerie) and more of a Bloodline due to how few of them they are (though, depends if 5th edition keeps Saulot taking Tremere's body or not as Saulot was very important to the Metaplot in the older editions, and I still need to read 5th edition's lore to see what's in the books).
Though, I do like that they made Salubri a Clan, but I wish they incorporated the Bloodlines better as Hecata is really the only one that seems to have brought attention to them. And time to watch the rest of the video!

A few months ago I read the V5 rule book and came up with something like this. He was a mix blooded vampire with Potence, Fortitude, and Celerity. His bane was preadators presence which simply made everyone around him intensely uncomfortable, including other vampires. His compulsion was a prey obsession which would compel him to hunt and feed upon a specific entity, often supernatural in nature. His primary ability was to suppress the signs of diablerie.

This gives me an idea for a bloodline that's an amalgamation of Clans Gangrel and Tremere, they're basically vampire druids. Their disciplines are Thaumaturgy and Animalism but they also have access to Koldunic Sorcery. I haven't decided on a name for them or a bane/compulsion yet though.
Gonna steal these for my v20 game (and maybe for some w20 stuff too) hehehehehe (but, seriously, great video!)

I like the publication of all of Vampire Secrets (tm) idea, it reminds me of Jim Butcher's Black Court vampires getting screwed by Bram Stoker and his book.

Modern trends like blockchain, cryptocurrency, and ai "learning" (leeching) off of the talent of others DOES seem very vampiric in nature, so Phreaks would fit right in to all of that.
LOVE changeling vampires. I really like all the overlapping creatures of WoD, and always thought (for example) an Abomination made for a compelling, but tragic character of npc concept.
An aspect of WoD I've been surprised was never developed out more was a water-based clan/bloodline. Pirates of the Caribbean-style relentless undead from thousands of years if humanity's naval history, swamp/bog-dwellers, and lake haunters feeding off of sailors, the unluckily stranded, and stupid and/or drunk partiers. I used to use the Samedi for this in old games (desiccating powers), but its always felt like a missed opportunity publication-wise.
Draug or Draugr are spirits from Scandinavian beliefs that guard graves, barrows, and cairns. They possess corpses or empty suits of armor or even just weapons, causing them to float and attack intruders. The Draugr from Skyrim aren't the corpses you fight. Rather, they've possessed corpses around the tombs you find and you can't actually get rid of them. In the Witcher 2, you encounter Draugr that have possessed suits of armor, but a curse has redirected their enmity towards people that have wandered onto a former battlefield instead of into a burial ground.
I would love it if Burger did the proper V20 version of these! Pretty please, with sugar on top

I have a homebrew Bloodline, the Vaerminus who are infused with an insect swarm during their Embrace which eats them from the inside out and becomes one with them. (Inspired by the daughters Dimitrescu). Anyway, I can absolutely Arrange vampires mistaking a Spider Vaerminus as one of their own, for some amusing hijinks.
Wait I have a question regarding the distaste with the Salubri (which is fine btw to each their own) but you've suggested LA by Night as being an excellent actual play. So what's your take on Annabelle as a character within that Chronicle given she acts in many ways similar to the Salubri, her feeding preference is even their weakness in V20.
