My wife said to me a few years ago "Baby, I've watched you turn your frown upside down every time you get on that thing (my dirtbike I had at the time). Can I do it too?" Soni bought her a pink Honda grom and we just hooked around town for a while. Last year we bought a couple of mt07s for our anniversary and we've done about 30 000kms together riding up and down out beautiful country. We absolutely live for doing it. Best fun ever.
Step #1: the money I’m a high schooler looking to get something like an MT-03 or a Honda rebel 500 and the only thing stopping me now (since I took the MSF course) is saving up for the gear, insurance, and bike itself, I can’t wait to get back on a bike and go for a ride!
No need to splurge on gear. Get something good but reasonably priced. As for bikes go for a used one. You’ll definitely drop it and maybe have an accident. I suggest an er-5, or cb500. Great bikes and underrated and underpriced.
Honestly though, most people advise on too big cc for a first bike. It’s a lot of power and weight for a newbie. My personal advice would be to get something that won’t go much above speed limit, and most definitely without too much torque - a 250 at most. I had tons of fun with a simple cbf125 in the city and the twisties.
Hey, I’m really enjoying your videos! I just got my learner's in Sydney and am thinking about getting a motorcycle. I sat on a Rebel 500 today - it felt great - and somehow ended up on your TH-cam page, which has been super inspiring. I've only ever driven cars, so this whole experience feels exciting but a bit intimidating. How was your experience practicing on the Rebel 500 after getting your L’s and preparing for the P test? Would love any advice you have!
@@WK0806 after i got my bike delivered, i sat on it for an hour ti get the excitement out. I went around the block. Came home and relaxed. Then went out around the suburb then came home and relaxed lastly i went to the mountain and just took it at my own pace. Just ride your own ride and dont be temped by knobs on the ride.
My filipina wife bougt me a 2023 kawasaki vulcan 650s. I pretended to cry about it after a long discussion on why she doesnt want me to get into riding😂
