OK. Well how about this then. Next time you have a guest on your show... Caleb: "Until next time we will catch you..." *Flips item to Retro Rick* Retro Rick:"On the flip!"
Absolutely love that you two are friends from this hobby and job. Amazing gift with the case, considering it was a highlight from your trips, so cool! Love the blossoming of this friendship! Thank you for making this hobby fun guys!
I just found both your channels in the past month or two and watched so many videos so this little collaboration series was phenomenal, your chemistry and energy mesh great so I hope to see more in the future, another great video
Never heard of Retro Rick before but that room is SOOOOOOO nostalgic!!! My mom and dad themed our Xmas from like 1991-1994 and one of those years was Ninja Turtles. So every present we opened was Ninja Turtles related. That April O'Neil News Van was one of them. I hadn't seen that in forever. In the Nintendo case there are 2 Yomega YoYos which were hugely popular when I was in like 5th or 6th grade. I got one at a Hibbett Sports. My mom drove us like 30 minutes just to get YoYos. I saw the Sega Game Gear which I had almost forgot about. It was so awesome but I remember it draining batteries SO FAST! He has that Ernest doll which I used to watch a lot as a kid. I had the Talk Boy after seeing Home Alone. I just can't believe the amount of stuff he has that takes me back to my childhood. SO NOSTALGIC.
You guys are both awesome. I love your channels! It was so much fun to look at Rick’s game room! I thought Caleb did a great job asking the right questions and it was fun learning about the history of all the pieces. I’m not so much into collecting myself but I definitely have my most treasured games for myself. 😊Thanks to you guys, I have found some awesome games and DVDs for flipping 😊 I got a Scooby Doo DVD game for $2 at goodwill and sold it for $50 🤯 I was shocked for sure but I thought to look it up because it seemed pretty obscure! And I kno Rick says to look up the obscure stuff! :)
To answer Rick's question about not finding as much Gamecube stuff, I worked at Toy R Us R-Zone in that era and the simple answer is the Gamecube was the 3rd place system behind the PS2 and the Xbox. They just didn't sell much of them. Honestly it was pretty much considered a failure for years. Funny to se it all come around again.
I had a game.com handheld. I would play it for hours. Nothing fancy but it was basically a handheld computer with games. I recall playing Wheel of Fortune and Solitaire all of the time. The other features were pretty limited but it has potential
I got one of them peewee dolls. Voice box still works. One of my pugs absolutely hates it. Took it to spring break in florida as a gag taking pictured along the way, buried in sand on the beach like it was peewees adventure. Was super popular with getting attention with the ladies wanting pictures with a random peewee doll on spring break. Boy that was a long time ago. Woulda made a killer short or youtube gag video today but that was pre youtube. Darn
I had a hastings where I live it was my favorite store I went all the time when it was closing I was devastated. In my area they were selling the shelving as well and I really wanted the video game shelves but at the time I was in high-school and couldn't afford it and didn't have room for it. Those shelves are probably my favorite thing about his room
Happy to see sonic adventure 2 battle. Ed edd and eddy was one of my favorite shows growing up, so thus it's a game I had to own as a kid. Gonna rebuy it hopefully soon. Charlie and the chocolate factory I am not sure how good it is, but I saw it a few months ago at a retro store. My friend pointed it out, and at first the 3d models on the cover looked relatively normal. GC versions of the actors in the movie. But as you look at it, you realize that something isn't quite right, and then you start to absorb the fact that they are just weird. The art style they gave these characters for the game is just very odd. The faces, the bodies. Nothing looks right. I don't want to say off putting, but it's not weird in a good way. But for that very reason, I had to pick it up. I was going to get the xbox version they had for sale too, and it's still there when I went there last week, but I don't have an xbox and it doesn't play on the Xbox 360, so I'm gonna pass for now. If it's still there when I finally get an xbox, I'll buy it. It isn't impossible. I managed to pick up duck dynasty for the 3DS after I got a 3DS finally. The game survived 9 months in the same store. It was a $10 sealed game and the guy at the counter could not believe someone was buying it. I broke the seal and tried it, and it's duck dynasty for the 3ds. Actually, not a bad game. I didn't go too far into it, as I wanted to save my reaction for a stream sometime, but it's basically a tycoon style game with duck dynasty. Not a bad game, just a weird license. Like you wonder how much overlap there is between people who watch duck dynasty enough to buy a licensed game and people who own a 3ds and care about owning Duck Dynasty on it.
I actually have a tails Mc Donald toy my mother found in her house from when I was a kid. It was like. Where did you find this !!! Totally going to the game room.
Very possible still to this day. Picked up over $500 of nes and snes games over the weekend for $180. All carts in like new condition from original owner.
I had a game.com. Part of the appeal to me was that it could connect to the internet. Was so excited to get it for Christmas. Not wanting to be an ungrateful child (as my parents did all they could to get us what we wanted on a limited budget), I forced myself to play it for like, 2 hours. It was soooo awful! Haha
My grandma would let us pick any gift from the Sears catalog every Christmas. Usually around $70 or less. One faithful Yuletide season...I chose a Game.Com. Terrible year...
Game.com was bad, but I kinda loved it lol. I actually was looking forward to Resident Evil 2 that I guess wasn’t officially released or maybe it was a super limited thing.
That sonic battle adventure 2 for GameCube is my favorite game but I can't find it anywhere where I live and I don't like buying things offline as I've been screwed before. Love that game.
I remember some video game magazines dumping on the Gamecube for being basically a game console with no extra media functionality. At the time PS2 was bringing in sophisticated DVD tech in their system and that was all the buzz. They turned their nose up at Gamecube like a tinker toy from a bygone era. There was a point in time in the early 2000s where Pawn Shops had stacks of Gamecubes for cheap. Which was all later replaced with Guitar Hero/Rock Band Guitars. Funny enough, those items are sought after now and the PS2 still over saturates the used market. I'm not saying that's a bad thing. PS2 is still cool.
I didn't know you were in the Omaha area sometimes, I live in the lincoln area. Would you want to meet up and do some pokemon card trades/buying? Love the vids man, keep it up!
Gamecube only sold 20 million units where as PS2 sold like close to 150 million units worldwide. That's why the Market is Saturated with PS2. Just like the WII U only sold 15 million units worldwide.
Bro, that N64 gift you gave Rick was so generous. You can see how happy he was. You’re good people for a reseller!😉
Honestly retro is so humble about his collection. Love seeing the love behind the collection.
You guys make great content together, keep it coming.
Now we just need a video exploring your game room, Caleb!
Haha Lee’s not wrong on that one
OK. Well how about this then. Next time you have a guest on your show...
Caleb: "Until next time we will catch you..."

Retro Rick:"On the flip!"
One shares his nostalgic passion, the other sees dollar signs everywhere. Yet somehow they meet on common grounds. Retro-ception.
they're both resellers lol
Two artistic and creative minds. "On the flip".
I had that Tiger Mortal Kombat when I was 9. When you pulled it out of the back of the cabinet, my mouth dropped.
Absolutely love that you two are friends from this hobby and job. Amazing gift with the case, considering it was a highlight from your trips, so cool! Love the blossoming of this friendship! Thank you for making this hobby fun guys!
Team Retro Resale cool hearing the back story on some of your collection items
I just found both your channels in the past month or two and watched so many videos so this little collaboration series was phenomenal, your chemistry and energy mesh great so I hope to see more in the future, another great video
Thanks Patrick, glad you enjoyed!
That triceratops 90s toy is an Extreme Dinosaur. An offshoot of Street Sharks. I was a member of the official "fan club" back in the mid 90s.
Giving him that last gift honestly made me smile. So awesome of you!!
In a word full of greed, it's refreshing to see Phoenix is such a generous guy. You both rock!
You guys should make this a weekly thing ! Great chemistry
What a major throwback to the past.

Hi. Great vids. The toy is from extreme dinosaurs and is spin off of Street sharks.
I recently found some of those mcdonald's sonic lcd games. I was amazed when I saw them at a yard sale.

Game.com was bad, but I kinda loved it lol. I actually was looking forward to Resident Evil 2 that I guess wasn’t officially released or maybe it was a super limited thing.
