Best blues band on the planet, I've been going to see them whenever possible for 40 years
Oh my, oh my! This was great! I spent 40 yrs in the Canadian music biz - musician, club owner/operator, festival owner, hired Emcee, 5 yrs on radio, band manager, concert promoter - I had many, many encounters with Downchild - and mainly after the Hock Walsh days, so I was very friendly with Tony Flaim (RIP) That man could party! As recently as 2000 he played my blues club in London Ontario with his touring band. Every time we hired Tony (every 9-10 months or so) it was just a riot! We’d book bands for two nights even in 2000! Fri and Sat shows! So we’d put them up in 2-3 hotel rooms overnight. We trashed a few rooms, Tony and I! Lol The kicker is - I had to pay damages! Some people can just rev you up! That was Tony.

@@pstick9934 Retired. Living “the life” in BC’s Okanagan Valley. About 15 yrs ago I went and spent a summer in Chelsea Quebec with Sergei de Jonge, and I learned to build steel and nylon string guitars. I still do repairs and restorations.

My Dad loved this band. I'll subscribe just because it's a part of him I miss. He's been gone 7 now. Off the cuff and Where have you gone ? We're a few of the songs you could hear him in the morning singing. I grew up listening to my own music but now wish I had taken some different roads. Blues has a way of speaking to your soul. This was one of the few bands Dad would show me that I enjoyed with and without him. Cheers.

Remember seeing them perform in front of Honest Ed's on Bloor Street with "The Hock" on a steamy Hot Day as a kid... LOVE their Energetic Bluesy Jams!
