What I find especially in the domestic market is people want to employ me because of my skill and quality . Not someone else I employ. This makes it really hard to scale up without upsetting my regular customers.
This is my problem too and am happy with the domestic markets make better money there and big construction

Great to hear some honest opinion in a culture of flexing and BS growth coaches.
I would never think that these big companies work for such narrow profit margins.
I can't be even bothered to deal with one labourer, I'd rather do things myself, have a peace of mind and extra cash in my pocket. People are a headache, especially these days.
Being a content person is a blessing.
Bigger jobs bigger headache been there done it ,with employing and sub contractors ,just want to work by myself now
Off topic, but Iv just picked up a second hand k4 machine the same as you have in some of your videos. Iv only ever hand balled on mono, so learning alot. Iv seen videos about cleaning out the machine but non show about cleaning out the hopper (where you split the bags)
Iv not used the machine yet so it might be obvious once I get going.
Job to find guys who can do a proper job for you,,the good ones are already busy

Spot on with that, it isn't always bigger is better. had loads of men working for me at one time, Never again because you can't relay on most of the staff !! Margins are not there' relay on me and my labourer that's it

Bit off subject Joel but Im struggling to get a renderer who will remove our old render before applying new so looks like I’m going to have to get it ripped off myself. Can you recommend any sds hammer drills you’ve found to be better/more reliable than others?
I’ve already got a dewalt sds but it’s only small & have a feeling I’m going to need a bit more of a beast for the job, something professional. I was hoping something around £500 max might be sufficient but if more expensive is required then so be it.

Couldn't agree more, I've just come back to plastering and rendering after leaving the trades for 3 years for a different career had 4 lads full time last time and the stress is what got me to be honest.
The business is back up and running now and I'm just going with me and a labourer. Keep the videos up dude always good to watch pal

Keep getting let down i find so much work but can't get the staff to do a full weeks work so jobs are taking longer than need to so no profit left
