OMG, Osmanthus perfumes are such a HUGE thing in Japan where I’m from, people are constantly talking about the next perfume/fragrance products that could be “the one”, and sadly not one brand has come close. When L’occitane came up with their osmanthus line, they were sold out everywhere in Japan for weeks but then the trend died out quickly as people realized it didn’t smell like osmanthus at all (it didn’t do it for me either). I think this brand Aux Paradis has an osmanthus fragrance that’s pretty close but not long lasting. My favorite perfume with an osmanthus note would be Burberry Weekend for her…it’s not exactly only osmanthus, but you can definitely smell it in there somewhere! I’ll definitely try out the frags you mentioned!
A video like this about hibiscus would be fun! I love how fruity of a flower it is. And it’s such a summery scent to me. Or maybe a lavender one? Lavender is difficult for me because it can smell granny-ish or soapy if done wrong. I use to loaaathe lavender and I’m just now starting to like some lavender. So I would love to hear your suggestions. Jasmine is another one I would be curious about since it seems to have become very popular in perfumes. Either way..I absolutely love your channel!
Hi Sophie, hugo boss scent pure accord edt is a nice one also. Love it in hot days. Smells so inoffensive and feminine. Making parfum with osmanthus is a great idea. I think this note deserves more popularity. Please make updated version of vanilla parfums ❤

I am so lucky that I have two osmanthus bushes growing in my garden. I have been collecting fragrances that feature osmanthus because of my love for my osmanthus bushes, but no perfume in the world can capture the magic of the real thing!

When you talked about Ferragmo's Signorina eleganza perfume, you told us it reminded you of Gucci Flora mixed with Chanel Coco Mademoiselle which the captioning interpreted as "coco mama's hell"..... and when you described it as having an osmanthus smell but then it faded down and it literally turned into Coco Mademoiselle, this time it turned up as "coco grandma's hell".. And just before the end of the Vlog you mentioned L'Occitane which came up as "logs tan".... Thumbs up as always for your informative contribution to everyone's understanding of the world of scent.... :)

I bought it for the first time this year though after I heard that it is discontinued through your video.💛🙏🏼Love it so much! It feels uplifting and at the same time strong, without it being heavy. I learned so much from this video. 🌼 I first learned of osmanthus nearly 20 years ago when I lived in London and would get Clipper Osmanthus Tea from Waitrose. It had a wonderful apricot aroma. I have never seen osmanthus tea in the States, and I live in the promise land when it comes to food (California) and artisanal, quality Camellia sinensis. So when I recently got back into my fragrance hobby, I ordered every single sample featuring osmanthus from LuckyScent, and the standouts were: 👍🏽 Joyeux Osmanthe Maison Rebatchi- simple and charming! 👍🏽 Choeurs des Anges by Atelier des Ors, more bright and fruity with blackcurrant top note and some carrot seed for grounding. 👍🏽 Oudh Osmanthus by Mona di Orio, a deep and sensual display of osmanthus- very elegant and well-blended. I may have to purchase a full bottle! 👎🏽 Absolue d'Osmanthe by Perris Monte Carlo 👎🏽 Osmanthe Kodoshan by Maison Crivelli Just not a fan of those two brands in general. I own and really like McQueen Sacred Osmanthus and Jo Malone Osmanthus Blossom, both of which I recently found on eBay at below $50. Those are really light and easy, beautiful every day fragrances suitable for office or daytime. Last, I just got Osmanthus Tea by Floriography, an Etsy seller based in Taiwan. I have to say it smells lovely- definitely linear- and just like the Clipper tea! 🧡🌼💛🍵💚
Osmanthus grows in the USA as well. Mostly found on the east coast, about Virginia to Georgia. I had one in my backyard and I could smell the flowers through my kitchen window. The tree was about 30 feet away! I have a few perfumes with osmanthus in the top or middle notes and honestly, none of them come close to what the real thing smells like. The closest one I've found is Hermes Hermessence Osmanthus Yunnan.
I used to work in the hotel industry and wear Gucci Flora to work everyday. Oh girl do I tell you that the male chefs LOVE Gucci Flora. Everytime I bumped into one, they always compliments me saying that I smell so good
SFs Seniorina Elaganza is one I wear in the fall. I gave it to my friend and she wears it year round as her signature scent. I use Gucci flora sparingly but also love it.
I had a perfume with Osmanthus from L'erbolario, it was called exactly like that, and it was the best spring,summer perfume that I encountered!It is quite a unique smell! Thank you for the informations you shared😘
Hugo Boss The Scent For Her is a nice Osmanthus. I have the intense version which has an amped up peach in there, but the original is more floral. It’s great Osmanthus for those of us who can’t wear Patchouli or woody scents! Light and pretty :)
Another beautiful Osmanthus fragrance to add to the list and that should get WAY more attention is Cartier’s La Panthère Parfum. It’s delicious! The La Panthère line is gardenia based however the Parfum version leans into the more fruitier notes of apricots and Osmanthus. It’s a dream and a delight of a fragrance! It’s fuller bodied but not too intense so can be worn spring, fall, winter and can even stretch into summer too. Don’t over look this fragrance, it’s amazing! So to is the EDT version which is sparkling and fresh and the well rounded fav, EDP. Cartier’s fragrances need to be talked about more. 😄✨💖
I’m soooo late to the party 😭. I got hold of a sample of Gucci Flora and I absolutely adore it. You can’t get hold of it anywhere now, unless you want to run the risk of fake goods at inflated prices. Soki, please, please, please if you could create your own brand of an extremely similar fragrance, I WILL buy it. Stupid Gucci withdrawing this perfume as there are so many complimentary comments for it - why? Why? Why would you do that???
Two in my collection have lovely osmanthus notes. Lush 1000 Kisses Deep and Maison Alhambra Kismet for women (which some say is a dupe for Killian Good Girl Gone Bad, but I have never smelt that).
The original Flora EDP is my favourite perfume in the whole wide world! No matter how many niche fragrances I have tried, nothing beats Flora by Gucci. So sad that it's been discontinued. The new Flora line in tall, opaque bottles with Miley Cyrus have nothing on the original Flora. The new ones are very simple and flat, there is no depth or warmth to them
When watching your video I realised I've got less than 5 perfumes that feature the note of osmanthus (out 400+). I pulled out Flora a couple of days back and I found it so dated. Made me realise how perfume trends changed within the past couple of years.
Girl, you know you are quite capable of creating an even better osmanthus perfume than gucci flora! 😊 P.S they should have discontinued coco mademoiselle, cuz everyone wears it. XD
My grandmother wore osmanthus exclusively, for decades, as far as I could remember. She called it "osmanthus water." Of course she traced her ancestry back to China...
