    I have Burberry London and it’s a gorgeous honeysuckle scent. Another good one that’s a cheapie is Kim Kardashian Pure Honey. It’s got a gorgeous honeysuckle scent mixed with honey. Really pretty!

    I have and adore Aerin Mediterranean Honeysuckle, I was able to snag it at the Cosmetics Company Store for half off. I would add Burberry Her EDT. It’s actually my favorite honeysuckle perfume and though it’s an EDT, I feel it actually performs pretty well.

    I' m sorry but I have to completely disagree with you about the use of naturals in perfumery. They actually do not smell the same with the aroma chemicals that are lab- created. Naturals give the perfume soul, life and a depth that you cannot possibly have with the aroma chemicals. I have a collection of 450 plus perfumes, both designer and niche, and perfumes with naturals are simply on onother level, they have a soul that synthetics cannot give. And the nose can tell the difference

    Honeysuckles are blooming right now where I live. There's a big bush I smell nearly everyday during my walks and I love its smell. To me it's a complex smell, with fresh nearly aquatic facets and more white flowery fruity ones. I find the fresh lily of the valley-like dewy english garden type of aspects is often more represented in perfumery whereas the white flowery, sweeter, more jasmine-like and melon infused facets are less present in perfumery when honeysuckle is mentioned. Although honeysuckle is not in its notes, "Idylle" from Guerlain evokes some white-flowery, aquatic and melony facets of honeysuckle I really enjoy. I totally agree with what you say about "Dior j'adore parfum d'eau" (my favourite of the line...but lasts no more than 2 hours on my skin) and I'll have to smell the Aerin again 🙂!

      Unfortunately Aerin isn’t available in my country (as far as I’m aware), so I havent tried Mediterranean Honeysuckle yet. My favourite one surprisingly is a body spray from Victoria’s Secret called Secret Charm. Pretty sure it’s discontinued, but I find that one replicates the scent of the honeysuckle bushes in our garden the best!
      I’ve also tried Goutal’s Le Chévrefeuille, a bit of a disappointment, too much green and citrus, not enough honeysuckle. Another one I have is Jo Malone Honeysuckle and Davana. It’s closer to the original flower, but it’s sweeter, kind of honeyed. Just last month I bought Monotheme Venezia’s Honeysuckle EDT, which at first is more orange blossomy, but dries down to a fairly close-to-the-flower honeysuckle. Poor longevity though unfortunately.

    03:00 here you're just lying. There is a difference between a natural oil, and a synthetic. A natural oil contains about 600 different molecules, which break down over different time. So a fragrance with natural oil will evolve and change as you wear it. A synthetic perfume note smells the same from start to finish, as it is I single molecule. To say "you cannot tell the difference between a synthetic and a real fragrance note" is 100% a lie/misinformation and you need to Actually learn this before talking about it.

    • @SokiLondon
      @SokiLondon  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The perfumers I have spoken to have explained that’s not how the chemistry works :)

    • @Roy_Godiksen
      @Roy_Godiksen 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @SokiLondon You need to speak to better perfumers. Every real perfumer is a chemist. Chemistry is pretty easy to prove and disprove. 600 different molecule structures will react differently on the skin than a single molecule structure. That's why niche perfumery is considered "a journey," while designers are linear. Have you never smelled high-quality niche fragrances? They have a minimum of 2 stages, often 3 some more. As the top notes are built up with more unstable molecules, they will break apart earlier. But when a note has hundreds of individual moleculs, it will never break up as one. So you're left with something different over time. And as you have 600 molecules reacting to all your oils, skin, hair, etc, it will behave differently on different people. That is why we say Always try before you buy. Your chemistry may make a scent go in a completely different direction than mine will. That's why most people wear designer fragrances (which are mostly synthetic notes). It's always the same. It's pretty much the same on most people. It's cheap to make. It's very predictable, and the synthetic notes mostly last longer than the natural once.

    • @SokiLondon
      @SokiLondon  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Roy_Godiksen hi Roy, I think you’ve misunderstood. What I’m saying is that now the complexity of what nature makes can be recreated in a lab. Like lab grown diamonds. I’m not referring to single molecule accords :)

    • @Roy_Godiksen
      @Roy_Godiksen 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @SokiLondon That's what I'm saying, too. The complexity of nature isn't the same as what we create in labs. For example, diamonds. Man made diamonds have the same mass, density, clarity, and hardness. But man made diamonds are unable to reflect UV light in the same way. You can see the difference in florence and fosforescence qualities. To our eyes, they may look identical. But if you actually look, they are different. Same with fragrance. You can't recreate the process of nature. Oils are different depending on how you extract, when you extract, where the plants grow, and how the plants have been treated with fertilizers. In a lab, you only get the one molecule that we connect to the specific note. But you lose out on everything that makes it shine. If you try a Paco Rabanne fragrance and a Roja Parfums fragrance of the same type. You'll instantly know the difference between synthetic and natural. That said. Synthetic is potentially safer, as only one molecule is easy to test for bad reactions for health. Some people can't pick up all natural scents but can pick up the equivalent synthetic. But to say synthetic and natural is the same note/ingredient/experience is either a lie or passing on misinformation.
