Falls can cause significant injury and death. According to a 2014 report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, falls were the third leading cause of work-related fatalities. Ladders are commonly used tools that can be involved in serious accidents if not used properly. Occupational safety reports have indicated that inadequate employee training was a significant factor in ladder incidents.
