I did the same thing in quitting my 6 figure job and traveling the world. On my journey I saw so many old and frail folks and they did not seem to be enjoying traveling. Or it was a chore. So glad I did my trek. I can work anytime.

i’m really curious as to what job either the guy or woman does that affords you a year off and pays enough for bills & saving for traveling around the world?
we did back office corporate finance. both had roommates post college, shared 1 car between the 2 of us, (we saved up/contributed the same amount to travel as well) and aren't the biggest spenders in general
