      You did on great job on this video Sir. I wish the best for you guys. I’m enrolled in the program now at Troy University and will commission in May 2024.

    I enlisted in the Marine Corps Infantry in 2011 and then switched branches becoming a Supply Sergeant in the Army in 2020. After working for one year at Fort Rucker I applied for the Green to Gold program and was accepted. I’m now studying full time at Troy University and will commission/graduate in May 2024. I’m thankful for this program because it allows me to earn my full income for attending school as my place of duty. I wouldn’t be able to do this in any other situation since I have a family to support and wouldn’t be able to study full time while serving on active duty. This program is a true blessing that more and more people are becoming familiar with. If anyone needs any information on how to apply please message me.

      @sirjoshuafaw On average, who often would you say that a marine enlisted gets promoted compared to an army enlisted? I remember hearing that from PVT to NCO in the marines is like 10-years on average. The army is about 6 years. How would you characterize it?

    Bro I love the channel. I’m in Cadet land myself… I am a super older soldier but I did non scholarship. This channel is amazing because it provides a first hand experience at all the questions someone would/ should have before making the jump to the other side. Keep up the great work bro!

    I begin school this Fall. I was recently accepted as PFC. Let them know that you can get a TIS waiver too. It is good that you are making videos like this because a lot of people do not know much about this opportunity.

      I think most people assume that they have to be in the army for a long time before getting into this program. The general census is that “It’s too good to be true.” I start school in a couple weeks in the ADO program. Started my packet as a PFC and was able to just pick up my 5 right before PCSing to school. Great video series!

    What does the timeline look like for going ADO GTG? I was told I would PCS in May of 2023 and the start school in August. Trying to plan a trip over the summer and was wondering if anything would get in the way of that

    G2G cadets should be slotted for OCS or a separate commissioning source imo. G2G is guaranteed active duty and full time pay no matter how well they perform at advanced camp or within their program. It's isn't fair that regular cadets should have to compete against them and potentially lose out on AD or training opportunities.

    What ACFT score falls under a good score to input for Green-to-gold? I scored a 451 & I wanted to know possibly what you scored to see If I have a chance.
    Thank you!

    • @Therealc_hill
      @Therealc_hill  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question, when I submitted my packet we still fell under the APFT (I scored a 300). With the ACFT I try to stay in the 550 club. I think you’ll be fine, keep improving, don’t get too caught up in your ACFT score. It may or may not be a big deal right now. Let me know if you have any additional questions.

      If you were selected for G2G, you are going the G2G route. These are two different commissioning paths/processes.

      The typical brand new LTs attend the Basic Officer Leader Course (BOLC) after college. BOLC is where LTs learn their jobs.

      Great question, according to doctrine (AR 600-9) that flag will need to be removed. Keep in mind Soldiers will need CDRs letters of recommendations as part of the G2G packet. On the bright side, I've learned that with determination, good work ethic and support from leadership, nothing is impossible in the Army!

    The green to gold cadets I expirenced as a regular cadet were far and few. A few G2G cadets were knowledgeable and helpful, most however were disrespectful and put themselves on a pedestal, talked down to regular cadets and saw themselvesas superior thus causing conflict. Leadership roles and positions that should've been assigned regular contracted cadets were given to G2G cadets who were obsessed with running things how their previous unit did. They constantly showed up late to class, refused to do pt consistently, refused to work with others, and only interacted with other G2G cadets. "Prior service premadonas" are the worst. That was my experience.

    the US Army the worlds best ethnic minority , feminist & LGBTQ friendly army, great at gender transition but has lost every major war it has taken part in since WW2 - Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Iraq & Afghanistan.
