Bought one with an astronomical 225k miles on it. Maintenance records to the moon and back. 3.0 6MT Quattro, exact car in the video. Runs and drives perfectly. Purchased for 900 dollars, in immaculate condition inside and out. Absolutely amazing car.
I hole mine lasts that long! Mines an 04 with the 1.8T 6spd Quattro w/ 124,800 something miles finished in Imola yellow which is pretty rare hence that yellow only comes on the S4 B6s, it’s got extensive service records too!
I bought this car for 3.5grand. 171,000 Kilomteres Automatic and is now 13 years old. Such a great car. Honestly. Little bit of wear and tear here and there but other than that it is amazing! I think I'm an Audi fan now!
this is personally one of audi's best cars right next to the r8 I don't really like the new audi's now a days cuz they just don't feel the same so definitely perfer the old school a4's but somehow still like the r8's till this day mainly cuz they've kept the same body style since the car came out in 07
Almost 10 years old and looks like new inside....cant beat audi built quality, this A4 was one of the first Audis which started the trend of best interiors in class.
I have got to say you have the best reviews ever. I am a HUGE car guy and I absolutely think you have the best reviews. I just wanted to say thanks for doing such a great job!
Just recently got this car, mine is the 1.9 TDI 130bhp and it's performance is great, plus it's very economical. This is my first ever Audi but so far I'm loving it. I'm going to keep this for a few years and then take the plunge and get a newer A4. I've had Mercs before and this car is better.
This was an amazing video! I am an enthusiast and you visually covered every single thing I would have looked at! We need more people like yourself out there!
This is such a solid car, I have a 2002 avant with a bose sound system, sports package (ventilated, cross drilled, grooved disc brakes, independent, lowered suspension [5" from the ground]) and a 130bhp/230ft-lbs 1.9 TDI, great performance and handles very well! Surely a recommendation compared to other cars.
you should totally keep an eye out for a S4 of this generation and do a video on that, those things are beautiful, i have a cabrio version of this A4, except its a 2005, such a nice car.
I am going to get 2002 A4 also but with 1.9 TDi Quattro, S-line, but it also has Navi (GPS) system in it (it has lcd screen not standard radio), im waiting for it already. And thank you for your video about this a4, i really did enjoy watching it, you showed everything I needed to know! :)
Found the needle in a haystack. A 2004 3.0 with just 30k miles on it. All maintenance done by audi garage up to feb 2019. 9000 usd. lLooks/drives like new. Very comfortable, good mileage (33 m/g) with anticipating driverstyle. Beautifull engine / MT automatic-gear combi. At 75 mh only 2000rpm. Accelerating up to 50 mh with an steady 1200rpm. Gonna drive this one a long time.....
i never really looked at these audi's until i saw one at an auto show..i believe it was an a4 or an a6 wagon with a 6 speed. it felt really tight and sporty even at park. good video!
Currently saving up for an '02ish A4 very similar to this one. I'm still a good few months away from the down payment I'm looking to put on it, but man I can't tell you how many times I'll be pouring over this video until I my hands on one.
Nice cars! I know I’m a bit late but I rarely have cons with the B6 A4(mines a 1.8 4cyl.) only issues I’ve had were A/C system breaking after serpentine belt snapped down a interstate, and my headlights would turn off individually(or flash)when leaving a stop if it was set to Auto.
103.5 The Fox is my favourite station to listen to when I travel to the Outer Banks, NC and It is nice to have the radio station display on the dashboard instead of the center column.
There's a used 1.8T at my local VW dealership and I want it so bad! It has 117,000 miles though, but it's only $7,950! I'd be so happy for it to be my first car!
***** I believe you are both looking for the phrase "turbo charged"... Chipping is just aftermarket ecu tuning. Anyway, who cares... I have dual Asian midgets under my hood and it runs like a dream.
I love these cars! Kyle, do you have the newest generation A4 review? Also plllleasssssee update you're pictures for cars you hate yet to upload, I'd love to hear about everything coming up!
I will be honest on here, " i just traded in a 2002 A4 1.8T, with 179,000.00 miles on it." Great car it has been, just needed a bigger car, i had no faults with this car "except the fuel pump went out", other than that, its slam dunk reliable!! I cant even try to bash this car, styling is beautiful, i will miss it...
I just got a 2011 a4 quattro and its the best car I ever had!!! Very fast and awesome on gas, push to start, great sound system, and its fucking sexy. Paid in cash, work hard play hard beezys!!
I have the same car except with the Ming Blue exterior and Beige interior. It's a great car and I've had no problems with the reliability. Chicks also dig the 6 speed manual, especially high school ones. (I'm in high school BTW XD) As Kyle said, it's got a great engine and exhaust note, especially when you're rev-match down-shifting to 6000 RPM. :D
I found this car at a private seller for $5900, it is in great condition and has less than 75K of milage. I am planning on buying it and it would be my first car. Can anyone tell me if it is a good reliable car, that's not gonna break down in the middle of the freeway?
DuBstep115 I have two S40's, one sedan for me, and a station for my wife, both are 2005 models, never had a problem, but I never liked audi car's, it doesn't have the charm of a Volvo, the only bad thing about the S40 is that if you want to change the car radio, it's not an easy task, because of the waterfall console, but I love the stock radio.
@strumem90 I don't know if it's similar to Subaru's system since I don't know much about Subaru's but I do know that quattro is Audi's term for all-wheel drive.
@saucy05 you have to use a engine degreaser. If you leave the engine uncleaned for too long the actual engine will get stained by the oil and possibility the metal can chip away.
Yes, the only thing that is known to go on these cars is the clutch / dual mass fly wheel. But they keep coming down in price. Ignore all the moaning about it being £2000 on the Audi forums. I rang 2 local garages and they both quoted £600.
Do all 2002-2005 a4s look like this on the inside? Or do they come in special packages like dx lx ex like Hondas? And is the 3.0 turbo? And is the 1.8t and 3.0 good on gas as a daily driver?
Love the car! I have some fun memories back in 2004 with a red V6. However the street noise is killing the whole video! It's not watchable with the audio turned on!
@@MiniaceX Yup 03 A4 V6 30 valve convertible, It was neglected and sat in a field. I did do a lot of work on her but I can do that myself and now she is fantastic.
Nice, I got the 2005 version of this car, and it's quite nice...very dependable. Only thing annoying is the seat belt chime, ughh, other than that it's a keeper.
some people fill their tires with nitrogen because it is as inert as air, and also a larger molecule than air. The molecule size allows the nitrogen to seep out of the tire slower than oxygen. Great for people who don't check their tires as much as they should, but I personally don't see a reason for it.

Is it expensive to maintain this car?
most definitely. The parts are quite pricey as it is an audi.
Hey just wanted to ask whether or not the CD player is replaceable? I'm not too knowledgeable about cars.
this is personally one of audi's best cars right next to the r8 I don't really like the new audi's now a days cuz they just don't feel the same so definitely perfer the old school a4's but somehow still like the r8's till this day mainly cuz they've kept the same body style since the car came out in 07

that engine note is beautiful. the design is aging gracefully, too.
damn that exterior and interior hasn’t aged a bit in 16 years
22 years now
