I looked into the story turns out when he was arrested in the 90’s he asked to be transferred to Dorchester Penitentiary (located in New Brunswick) about 2 hours away from my childhood home and stayed until he died in 2011 it was really big in our local news paper back in the day when some people still relied on it
fact bout peoples temple: they gave the children the kool aid first so that some of the parents drink it afterwards . also there is an audio of the speech he gave on youtube where you can hear the people screams and cries after the kids drank the kool aid
Apparently when you watch the video, you can hear demonic noises in the background. There was definitely some weird stuff connected to that cult. It’s sickening.
Peoples Temple is spelled without an apostrophe. It might seem unimportant but it’s what caused reporters to seem “not credible” when the Peoples Temple was growing, and resulted in lesser media coverage of that cult
At least Heaven's Gate never forced people to become an hero didn't accept children and hurt nobody but themselves. I actually know two former members of HG and they told me when they decided to leave Applewhite shook their hand and wished them well. There was no harassment or violence because they were infidels or rejecting their beliefs.
George, have you watched the Heavens Gate interviews of the members in the lead up to their “destination.” Most (males and females)had at the time gone through castration and genital mutilations to “prove” they were up for it. If you can get someone to do that, then I think it’s safe to say you’ll get them to climb aboard the spaceship. You can also see the amount of peer pressure that was happening in the group when doubt arose from some members, the others would deride and ridicule them, then coach them back into line with the group as a whole. They also paired people up so as not to have individual thought. It’s a difficult watch but shows the dynamics at play within the cult.

What is your definition of a cult?
Ant Hill kids had a good idea to explain why the end did not come on time. It is a well-known trope that different dimensions run on different timetables.
I am a catholic and it makes me sick that theyre basically using christianity as a cult. God said not to kill and yet theyre doing this act. So, theyre basically betraying christ and the religion.
Ant Hill abuse was insane. Definitely wish i eidnt read that.
I looked into the story turns out when he was arrested in the 90’s he asked to be transferred to Dorchester Penitentiary (located in New Brunswick) about 2 hours away from my childhood home and stayed until he died in 2011 it was really big in our local news paper back in the day when some people still relied on it
Pls tell me a little I don't want to search it up
fact bout peoples temple: they gave the children the kool aid first so that some of the parents drink it afterwards . also there is an audio of the speech he gave on youtube where you can hear the people screams and cries after the kids drank the kool aid
Apparently when you watch the video, you can hear demonic noises in the background. There was definitely some weird stuff connected to that cult. It’s sickening.
Where can u find the audio?
@@samanthalibman9774 just search on youtube jim jones death tape or jim jones audio
@@samanthalibman9774 yeah, that’s what I wanna know. I’ve tried searching it up but I can never actually find the right audio.
Peoples Temple is spelled without an apostrophe. It might seem unimportant but it’s what caused reporters to seem “not credible” when the Peoples Temple was growing, and resulted in lesser media coverage of that cult
«Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.»
Matthew 7:15
Damn no intro just straight to the point my guy what a boss 😂
In Québec we all know the Roch Thériault story. I had never heard of the "ant hill" analogy. I don't think he ever used those words.
6:08 reznov? Is that you?
At least Heaven's Gate never forced people to become an hero didn't accept children and hurt nobody but themselves.
I actually know two former members of HG and they told me when they decided to leave Applewhite shook their hand and wished them well.
There was no harassment or violence because they were infidels or rejecting their beliefs.
Okay
Jim Jones’s stick figure is hilarious
Horrifying subject matter, awesome art style. Nice work!! 👍
Surprised the Branch Davidians aren't here
For the love of god stop saying "unalive" its so terminally online
Yeah bro, he is saying unalive cuz he is terminally online and not cuz of yutub censorship.
@@warmak4576 You can just censor words. Nobody is making you use brainrot euphamisms

It's quite amazing how you manage to leave out Scientology. Which is absolutely a cult
Figured the moonies would pop up here. Cool vid!

10:13 wait you can say kill but not suicide? I don’t even think youtube has any restrictions against saying that
Evil LeBron 😭
i remember not to long ago i got obsessed with learning about the Peoples Temple, cults are so interesting and crazy, and it’s wild how there still so many till this day
The worst part of these cults is they are open to welcome you, but clever to lie to you.
