What a beautiful Jag the series 1 XJ is my favourite classic. I just love them, I will need to build a garage before I buy one. I will just dream for the time being.
Fantastic cars aren't they! Such character sitting in and driving. Imagine opening the garage door and seeing that?! It'll definitely be worth it - stick in there! 😊
That beautiful Jaguar is the only car worth having on his drive in my opinion. I was 8yrs old when my dad bought a three year old BRG Jaguar 420G. Andfrom that very day to 50years later I have a deep and unbreakable love of Jaguar cars up until the recent ones which I am not particularly keen on. Today, I own a Series 2, 4.2L XJ6 and a 3.2L XJ8 V8 (obviously). I have owned many Jag's including two V12 XJS's.
It's a very special car indeed!🥰 That's what I've loved about getting to know the Jag community... Many owners now we're exposed at a young age and have loved them ever since! Can definitely agree, there's something really special sitting in a Jag. Perhaps I'll come and film some of your jags?! 🙌
They discontinued the xk 4.2 in jaguar production cars in 1987. The xk motor went from 1948-1987. They still used the xk motors in fire trucks and other utility vehicles after 87.
For a second, I thought you were going to close the bonnet FROM THE SIDE! But you didn't, so now I'm relieved. Lovely car obviously. I've had Series 1 sixes and a Series 1 twelve. My first one, a brown XJ6 also had a Webasto sunroof. Don't you find it noisy?
Ha! Nope thankfully not 😅 It's a lovely beast... Sitting in it and driving, I love the sound of the flat six, it's a gentle rumble when you put your foot down. Andy the owner also loves the sound too!
Great video - and lovely Jaguar. Owning a 6.75 litre Rolls Royce Silver Spirit I know what he means about being unable to pass petrol stations! Is she garaged or does she remain on the drive shown. Cars of that size don’t tend to fit in most UK garages!
Ah I can understand that. Well hopefully you can make your own memories with another car!? On a separate note, I have an episode coming up with a guy and a Jag he owns, that used to be his granddad's he bought from new! Hopefully that will resonate with you 😊 make sure you're subscribed 🙌
Another great video mate! This series is brilliant already!
Thank you buddy!❤️ Happy new year! Looking forward to watching your journey too 🙌
BRG THE colour to have in an ‘old’ Jag.
Absolutely AGREE! Proper classic Jaaag.

Thanks very much! Fantastic cars aren't they! Funny isn't it, you can always remember the reg of cars your love 😅

Ah I see! Thanks for that! Was counting on someone knowing better than me 👍
It actually carried on I believe in Daimler models and they were made for military applications until 1992 I think
Yes I think you're probably right! Real character before commercials became more important in cars...

Thanks very much! 😊 Yep, she's definitely thirsty! 😂
Nope, she's outside at the mo! Andy is looking to move where she'll be garaged soon enough 🙌
I sold my 1971 series 1 XJ6 4.2 last year, I’m still distraught 🥹
Oh man! Sorry to hear that 😞 perhaps keep an eye on the classifieds!?
@ sadly, it was the car my dad bought new in 1971. I’d love another but that particular car was special 🥲
