If someone offered me this Jag just like you Stokze l would of snapped it up, (especially as it’s a manual very rare) but the big difference is l can weld, and trust me it’s going to need a LOT of welding, a replacement interior shouldn’t be a problem, all the clocks in the dash will be scrap but again a second hand dash should be easy to find as will the front screen, you may need a clutch kit too, l do hope you persevere with this coz it will make a fantastic car once finished, good luck l look forward to seeing you cruising the streets in it and looking dry ice cool!!!
You can probably pick one up that needs £1000s less of work for under a grand though. That's why it was free. The best way to do this would prob be buy a second and use one as parts car. If he don't end up doing it, Stu can still sell this one for parts though. Obs I hope he does restore it just to see it back on the road, but donor car is the way to go with this.
Are you the local scrap dealer now 😂 ok its free strip it and sell it for parts or sell it or banger it I'm a welder fabricatior of 25 years and I wouldn't bother with it you can buy better ones cheap anyway stu
Those cars are in demand. I think it's worth repairing but on a budget obviously. Take a welding course. It's got the best engine too, very reliable. That is the last one off the production line 1994.
20 years ago l gave up my 1987 3.6 manual XJS after 10years (or so) trouble free enjoyable driving and l’ve regretted it ever since. I’m really looking forward to watching how and how far you progress in bringing this “classic” back to life.
Lovely looking car and def worth saving. Chris Harris has just bought a manual 3.6. Last mot didn’t mention rust but that was 10Y ago. Hoepfully the rust isn’t too bad. No doubt there will be nay sayers but there is always someone wanting to pihs on your chips.
Nice find stu, it looks to be in pretty good condition, defo well worth saving, get yourself a welder and repair that scuttle and get a windscreen put in, have you seen the xjs that ant anstead did up on his series born mechanic,
You know how the handbrake works on these, yeah? it's a fly-off, so it always sits low to the floor even when its on. Just lift it, thumb the button and drop, it should release the brakes.
I remember when I was growing up, this was my dad’s dream car, he loved the XJS model. I’m looking forward to more content on this, happy New Year Stokze❤.
I'm looking forward to you putting the old girl back on the road I know it's going cost a bomb fixing or replacing the floor pans and seals and windshield and the interior but it's because it's a manual after the work is done it's going to be worth a lot more when the work is finished so I would say go for it mate 👍👍👍👍
My dad's had a few of them V12 with 400bhp done a fair bit to it I was young then lol also xj40`s series 3 xj12`s Daimler double 6 gorgeous car with leather interior reg was MPD 287W
The XJ8 is the only Jag I loved them as a kid when they came out. And it's still the same. As crazy as some might call you. You've got one now. And will love it even more when you're cruising down the road. 👍
Nice new project. Would be good to see how you are getting on with the Clio, VW camper, and Nova projects though! Be great to see one get finished. Good luck.
Every decade has great looking cars that werent collectable enough or once they became older, became cheap enough to fall into the hands of people who couldnt afford to maintain them thus they became too broken and valueless. The XJS is just one such car that you can pick up cheap, looks great and is actually cheap and simple enough to wrench on if not too gone in the wrong places.
Stu get some positives in bro and get this done ✅ believe in yourself you can do this and get these projects going. You got this mate. Ask for help am sure peeps will help you. 👊🏽
GET IN TOUCH with Pete Osborne , his you tube channel is allstar garage . He races jags in banger racing . It would be good to see his channel and yours doing a feature with this car . Just an idea .
A very rare cat, a manual XJS is great if wasn't for the screen being smashed & the rust on the scuttle, plus there will be more problems under the skin.
I would give it a good check over and see if you could get the engine to run, then I would break it up for spares the manual gearbox would be worth a lot of money on its own you can’t lose 👍👍👍
I broke into 1 of these a few week back with an arm off my daughter's sun glasses lol got it running and the f...er caught fire a few seconds later the car was beyond rotten but if you do break/scrap that id be interested in what state the inner archs are like at the fronts of the rear wheels im in need of those to restart resto on mine 💪
Its a bits car only if the windscreen wasn't missing i would say give it a go but not in that state,if you can get it running maybe send it to a classic car auction as a runner otherwise a parts car or project.
It's nice that it's the facelift model and Manual. probably best to look around for a low miles rust bucket to use for interia parts etc. could be nice. welding needs doing before the windscreen goes in obviously. best of luck with it.
If you decide to scrap it you will get good ££ for the manual transmission parts 👍 The only thing IMO that kills an XJS is bodyshell corrosion, If it's solid it's worth doing, Looking at the front scuttle it's a hell of a lot of work to do correctly. Have a thorough check underneath, Floor pans, Inner /Outer sills and rear radius arm mounts, Front legs and x member etc.
RESCUE CARS🤣🤣🤣 JUST ANOTHER GARDEN FULL OF UN FINISHED/STARTED PROJECTS!! ALL YOU ARE DOING IS MOVING THEM AROUND> WAIST OF MY TIME WATCHING THIS AGAIN> GOOD LUCK FROM SOLIHULL>
😅 I reckon you should donate it to the guy. The channel cashpoint cars is restoring a £400 red. XJS 3.6 auto and I’m sure they’ll be plenty of parts on that one of yours that would benefit the young lad on cashpoint or cash machine cars
If nothing else it will make a terrific garden ornament. Love it.. nice colour.. but it will be a heck of a problem to restore. Electrics were terrible. Jaaaag 😊
Just pulled a pair of mk1 polos out a barn where they’ve sat for nearly 30 years, they’re rough but gonna get one on the road an probably sell the other
My opinion, focus on getting your Beamer fixed,go on some Jag Forums and find people who have these Jags in Mint Condition and offer them this for sale as a Parts Car (once it is yours legally).
Stu theres a lot of dowters and haters on here over this one! Prove them wrong brother. You've done it before with trucks so this should be easy for you brother!!!
A very brave project that will take up a lot of time.Think about breaking it for parts after all You got for nothing . I fully support the idea of saving cars but some are just a bit too much To consider saving. If you broke it for spare parts you will be still helping another Jag stay on the road.
Trust me on this Car Stokze it is screaming your name mate, yea save it dude, just time patience and a couple of pounds ££££ Ohhh don’t forget the labour👍👍
I reckon we will end up seeing stokzes drive way on some car hoarding channel in about 20 years time. Someone will knock the door and ask if any of the cars are for sale lol
You should of loaded it up and took it to the scrap yard two way it in and put the money into the Clio and got that one done 🤔 I think that would of been the best bet mate not to be funny💯👍
Why not talk to the guys at Ryall garage near Upton on Severn you did an explore of their jag graveyard they might be able to advise you. It's local to us and would be a source of parts. Also Harry Buckland scrapyard near Cheltenham had one though an older model but it had a windscreen and rust. It's a good time to own a xjs with the new rework by twr getting great reviews just look for TWR Supercat
Another nice find mate. Get a couple of videos out of it & move it on. Certainly looks a massive restoration job that! Get yourself a day out at auction
Not the best windscreen wiper repair I've seen. Nino on NEV would have this sorted out, but I think on this channel, there's a good chance it will sit on the driveway, further rotting away, until it's moved on again or dismantled.
I remember being offered a very tidy xjs v12 in silver, low miles, full Jaguar service history, full MOT for just £900 in around the mid 1990s, I think it was probably 10 years old or more, I was so tempted but that v12 engine just had 'expense' written all over it....😮🤔😳 If it was in the state you found yours, I would definitely walk away! 😮
What a money pit that will be !! Electrics are terrible when there not wet never mind being exposed to elements for ages ! Best thing to do with that is palm it off to someone for a parts car ! Or just wash and polish it like you do 🤦♂️
Get that car inside and in the warm quickly! It’s like a rescue cat, feral and in need of love and affection

New screens are NLA for the facelift coupes, getting a bonded one out of a car will be a challenge, but good luck anyway!
Are you the local scrap dealer now 😂 ok its free strip it and sell it for parts or sell it or banger it I'm a welder fabricatior of 25 years and I wouldn't bother with it you can buy better ones cheap anyway stu

The place you went with the abandoned Jags in Kidderminster has got a sign outside now Jags for sale
Sunday evening in New Zealand and a new Stokze video, happy days.
Good freebie, stick a windscreen in , tidy it up n get it running , FOR SALE end off .........
Not that bad mate tbh.. The structures good on it
He gets lots of cars he says he will put back on the road but never does complete waste
Auto Alex,s Tom lenthal jaguars might have some use for it save cubing it .
Nice find stu, it looks to be in pretty good condition, defo well worth saving, get yourself a welder and repair that scuttle and get a windscreen put in, have you seen the xjs that ant anstead did up on his series born mechanic,
This is going to be a series im definitely not going to miss... Just about to join up with a membership Stu 👍
Definitely save it, iconic jag that deserves to be driven again ;)
Good luck and I'm looking forward to future episodes on this great car
You know how the handbrake works on these, yeah? it's a fly-off, so it always sits low to the floor even when its on. Just lift it, thumb the button and drop, it should release the brakes.

Lovely Jaguar project.

Sound ungrateful a free xjs its worth grand in bits
The XJ8 is the only Jag
I loved them as a kid when they came out.
And it's still the same.
As crazy as some might call you.
You've got one now.
And will love it even more when you're cruising down the road.
👍
Nice new project. Would be good to see how you are getting on with the Clio, VW camper, and Nova projects though! Be great to see one get finished. Good luck.
A travelling man will have the reg for private plate
Definitely the best jag they made
I remember this from way back, was the black Zodiac still in the other carpark ?
Every decade has great looking cars that werent collectable enough or once they became older, became cheap enough to fall into the hands of people who couldnt afford to maintain them thus they became too broken and valueless. The XJS is just one such car that you can pick up cheap, looks great and is actually cheap and simple enough to wrench on if not too gone in the wrong places.
Save it! Worth it all the way. One of the best looking cars ever.
The last car I ever welded was a metalic red Xjs, nr side front chassis , cheers shane
Stu get some positives in bro and get this done ✅ believe in yourself you can do this and get these projects going. You got this mate. Ask for help am sure peeps will help you. 👊🏽
That tent will make it root faster it needs a shed so a shed for the shed 👍
Nice, Celebration model, pretty cool, manual too!
I would love to bring it back to life
GET IN TOUCH with Pete Osborne , his you tube channel is allstar garage . He races jags in banger racing . It would be good to see his channel and yours doing a feature with this car . Just an idea .
Best thing for this car, race it!!😂
I do remember seeing this on one of your other videos. Shes definitely worth saving.
Good for you Stu!
A very rare cat, a manual XJS is great if wasn't for the screen being smashed & the rust on the scuttle, plus there will be more problems under the skin.
I remember seeing this car sat there crazy you have it now well done tho hopefully make good content
Even in that state it's so classy.
Highly sort after model when new I think it could be saved if some ones brave enough to do the rust check see if engine turns aswell
I would give it a good check over and see if you could get the engine to run, then I would break it up for spares the manual gearbox would be worth a lot of money on its own you can’t lose 👍👍👍
What an awesome classic Stu a good fixer upper. Great video Stu

If you look up cash machine cars he's doing one up at the moment.
Absolutely brilliant video stokzey what a beautiful car wish someone had given it to me I'd have been over the moon brilliant
If you decide to scrap it you will get good ££ for the manual transmission parts 👍 The only thing IMO that kills an XJS is bodyshell corrosion, If it's solid it's worth doing, Looking at the front scuttle it's a hell of a lot of work to do correctly. I saw that parked outside an Indian restaurant on the way to Redditch !

Jaaaag 😊
Just pulled a pair of mk1 polos out a barn where they’ve sat for nearly 30 years, they’re rough but gonna get one on the road an probably sell the other
Yo forgot to say there was a manuel conversion kit on ebay not too long back for £3250.......dont let ya head swell 😎
My opinion, focus on getting your Beamer fixed,go on some Jag Forums and find people who have these Jags in Mint Condition and offer them this for sale as a Parts Car (once it is yours legally).
Do an auction to some restoration companies that will do it
Stu theres a lot of dowters and haters on here over this one! Prove them wrong brother. You've done it before with trucks so this should be easy for you brother!!!
You cant use any Jaguar they have engines that drop valve seats...especialy the V12! But you might install a Chevy small block!
@@Schlipperschlopper this is a 6 cylinder
A very brave project that will take up a lot of time.Think about breaking it for parts after all
You got for nothing . I fully support the idea of saving cars but some are just a bit too much
To consider saving. If you broke it for spare parts you will be still helping another Jag stay on the road.
Trust me on this Car Stokze it is screaming your name mate, yea save it dude, just time patience and a couple of pounds ££££
Ohhh don’t forget the labour👍👍
Get the logbook and sell it to Tom lenthall. Manual gearbox will be worth money. Sadly xjs hold a lot of rot and cost a lot to fix
have you seen the new TWR jaguar
I reckon we will end up seeing stokzes drive way on some car hoarding channel in about 20 years time. Someone will knock the door and ask if any of the cars are for sale lol
You should of loaded it up and took it to the scrap yard two way it in and put the money into the Clio and got that one done 🤔 I think that would of been the best bet mate not to be funny💯👍
I remember doing a head gasket on one of these when I was doing work experience at school. A nice red one it was.
Would love to see a will it start on this one Stu ❤
Morning stokze another great video....whats happening with the camper and the clio
Question answered about the clio cheers
Ian. Why dont you finish things you start like the camper. Worth more money
Nice acquisition Stu. It cost you nothing, so if you end up parting it out you'll make your money back at the least ! 🤔😜
Brilliant
Before you do anything or invest any money, rip the carpets up and look at the state of the floors/ inner and outer sills.
Well doable if you know a good welder.
Hope you do it up it looks a nice car
The electrics in these wasnt the best
A jag Exposed to years worth of brummie weather
Dont hold ya breath 😂
Dont let it become more yard art
These jags will be in great demand seeing the jag company's gone limp wrist woke she will be a collectors dream.
Send it to TWR for Supercat conversion!
Get it running and then sell what you can off it( wheels look good) to finance the Clio rebuild... assuming that's worth doing🤣
Get log book and sell rare manual still worth some money
Thanks for all the videos in 2024 & good luck in 2025 👍👍👍
Leave that cover on and put a tarp over the top.
Either brake it for spares or sell spares or repair all else falls sure banger boys would buy it mate either way mate you will make money
I'll miss the Jag i passed it on the way to work it's been there for years.
Why not talk to the guys at Ryall garage near Upton on Severn you did an explore of their jag graveyard they might be able to advise you. It's local to us and would be a source of parts.

Nice one, you can save it mate
Another nice find mate. Get a couple of videos out of it & move it on. Certainly looks a massive restoration job that! Get yourself a day out at auction

Dude ad jst break it surely the box be worth a fortune then use the money to buy a bit more friendly build 😊
I went past that jag its at that abandond dealer ship the Maserati is next to the jag
Worth a few bob in parts. Ignore the haters pal anyone would love that car for free. 👊
Sell some bits off it scrap the rest, should weigh in for a few quid, needs way to much for fixing up.
Do a JPS on it.
Дуже класний Ягуар.
