I just got into this hobby a few weeks ago, but I just got my first niche fragrance brand yesterday, a sample pack from Argos. It came with 11 different fragrances, and a nice bag with their name and logo stitched on it. It cost like $80, but their 100 ml bottles only cost like $170, about the same as Hugo Boss or other designer fragrances I've seen. Their full size bottles are works of art in themselves. I'm really looking forward to trying more niche and designer fragrances, like Mancera and Xerjoff and Tom Ford. I just have the Argos samples I mentioned, an Invictus Victory elixir, a JPG Le Beau Paradise Garden, and a bunch that I got from Marshalls or TJ Maxx or Ross. I've been wearing Paradise Garden, and it cheers me up through the day at work, when I just smell my own arm. No one has complimented it, but no one has complained either. I do engineering work, so I just sit at a desk all day. Sorry if you read all that.
Getting Compliments is just a made up term in the fragrance niche, it all depends on your culture and whatnot. Dont wear for compliments, you will be dissapointed. Buy what you enjoy, and wear it with confidence😁
@@supercuber9805 but THERE are fragrances that are mass apealing yes? It depends of what you need a loud fragrance or a fancy one fragrance is all opinion of course
@@Smiley3897 I mean it's all cultural so it depends a lot... But In my experience, the more you spend time in the fragrance hobby the more you tend to search for more sophisticated scents, and sophisticated scents tend to be not mass pleasing. Currently in the beginning stage I’d say. I’m a broke boy with a few bottles (2 of which I never wear) but right now I’m riding the sample wave to see what I’m most into. Trying to get a couple day time and night time fragrances to hold me down this summer
I have loads of cologne but it’s all cheap or clones. The most expensive cologne I own is Versace Eros. I have some basic bath and bodywork’s cologne and I also own playboy cologne
Prada Black is so goated I picked up the EDP 2 weeks ago along with Prada L’Homme EDT & Versace Eros Energy. Prada Black is definitely my favorite of the 3. Smells super classy I will say though, Eros Energy’s longevity is fucking crazy. I went for an hour run, showered, went to bed and could still smell it on my skin 24 hours later.
Loved the video, I loved the fact that you made stages for each level of fragrance collection, but I might add a topic that you didn't go that deep into, (imma yap a fuck ton, but hear me out 🙏) and that's redundancy; IMO I think it's redundant to own various fragrances that share the same scent profile, like having your sweet frag as SWY EDT and your loud frag as Azzaro's TMW. What I would do is also divide my collection in various main scent accords; for example, one vanilla fragrance, one citrus fragrance, one gourmand and one woody fragrance. Now your next pickup should be anything away from those accords, like something green or aromatic, or something leathery, etc. This makes my collection a lot less boring and a lot more interesting, but that's only my point of view, wear what you like bro. Keep it up Finn, your channel looks promising asf 🔥

started with 212 VIP and Paco Rabanne 1 Mil, added CK eternity and DG light Blue, then Maison Margiel By the Fireplace, and Hugo Boss. Looking for something to complete this collection. Something different from the rest and something Soapy. I guess I'll get YSL Y. or any reco you can give me.
Hi Finn how would you rate my collection: Mont Blanc Explorer, Dior Sauvage Elxir (I know you hate this one) YSL Y EDP, JPG Le Male Le Parfum, Spicebomb Extreme and finally Dior homme sport
I've current got 7 and plan for 16. I'm trying to break it down to have 4 different all year round. 3 per season- Office, Social and Date Nights. I'm still trying to find a few I like but so far I'm working on my spring and summer since the ones I've bought so far are more fall and winter
I need help because I own a couple bath and body works colognes and they kinda fit those categories but I wanna get into better quality colognes so should I start with blue or go straight to sweet?
I am a teen who wants to get his first fragrance ideally for special occasions and maybe school days and one that can get compliments. Also one that is versatile that can be used for all/most seasons of the year. Btw I haven’t tried any yet but will soon. The ones that I’m interested in are Versace Eros, Versace pour homme, Versace Dylan blue, ysl y Edp, nautica voyage, invictus edt, afnan 9pm and dior sauvage. Which one would you recommend?
I have spicebomb extreme, JPG Ultra Male, stronger with you intensely, invictus elixir intense, Tom Ford soleil blanc, nautica voyage & Ralphs Club Eau de Parfum. Do you recommend anything else for a balanced selection?
I have versace eros edt, dior sauvage edt, and ysl y edt. Im planning to get either a valentino born in roma uomo intense, jpg paradise garden, or jpg ultra male. Which one should i get?
I have the intense version(both of which are very similar)and its basically the essence of a forest, super strong and just smells like nature,if you have the money go buy it.
@@Okay-yz2yd Agree, Intense is better - overall a really nice, complex smelling allrounder and crowdpleasing beginner niche scent that's also nice for the office with a distant Aventus-like vibe (prefer it over Aventus though by far) - opening is really fruity, the drydown is more sandelwood-heavy - the fragrance has to macerate for a few months though to be strong (rather weak initially) - but your scent bubble really lets others know that it's not just your average designer scent, but niche quality - been a blind-buy for me and it's still in the top5 of my favorites in my collection (amazing value for money imo) - it also features a pressure-based sprayer

What did you think of D&G blue Intense? planning on getting it one day since I’m trying to look for a summer/gym fragrance that’s affordable
you should try versace dylan blue it’s under budget and you can wear it on any occasion
Which one should I buy for summer, eros Flame, or Valentino Born in roma yellow dream or Valentino uomo coral fantasy
Eros flame and coral fantasy aren't really for hot days, I'd say either yellow dream or to look up some other alternatives like le beau edt
yellow
Eros flame is a good all around even tho it is best in winter and fall. If u do go the road of Valentino prolly coral fantasy over yellow dream.
I need advice, I have two fragrances at the moment: Yve Saint Laurent and Jaen Paul Gaultier Le beau Paridise. I want to get a third one, which one should I get?
