    I dont want to live in a shack with no running water or electricity, but I do like learning things from people who lived in that time.
    One because it puts how wealthy we really are, and 2 reminds me of where we could easily end up in the future (for multiple reasons).
    Hard work is not bad, working hard to be rich is problematic. Aiming for a decent comfortable lifestyle that insulates yourself and your family is good to aim for...being content along the whole journey is key.
    Just reached the debt free line, heading for the next phase now. Thanks for the motivating vids👍🏽

    I try to have these types of conversations with my folks in DR, and they look at me as if I’m crazy. The first thing we need to do is to break them out of the consumerist culture and keeping up with the Joneses. So essentially, it’s task for the social sciences, not economics.

    Thanks, never thought about it this way. Now is simple, survival incom is my starting point to know how much I need, and how far I am from my desired incom

    My friend luckily speaks Spanish and lives in states she can’t afford rent so she’s staying in the DR for cheaper rent.
