Replacement terminals in the USA are garbage unless thay are the crimp on type and you have the big lug cratcheting crimping tool and the correct crimping die for the terminal you are installing.
Hi, A forklift engineer once had a bit of a go at me when I soldered a terminal on and spent some time explaining why crimped joints are better, I must admit that he was pretty convincing and what he said made sense at the time but I have forgotten most of it and still prefer the other methods. As you say good crimps need specific expensive equipment that cannot be justified for little use. Good luck, Jon
