Does Skopje Macedonia have more than statues? (Travel Vlog 2021)

- In this travel vlog we detail our trip to Skopje Macedonia in 2021. We wanted to see more of Skopje than just the statues so we decided to explore the outskirts of the city in search of hidden gems. This trip is from 2021.
We visited the Orthodox Cross and hiked up Mount Vodno to the Millennium Cross. This is our second Macedonia Travel video of the year and it is full of beautiful nature. We also visited Matka Canyon and Vrelo Cave in Matka Village in our video "We Visit Skopje Macedonia 2021 - Travel Vlog to Matka Canyon and Vrelo Cave on a Day Trip" ( • We Visit Skopje Macedo... ).
We went to Park „Aerodrom“ as Google Maps calls it, otherwise known as Park Avion Novo Lisice, to see the park with an airplane in the middle! From the bottom of the mountain we had an easier hike to Middle Vodno then it the difficultly increased to finish the hike to the Millennium Cross.
Skopje Macedonia is amazing. After all it is the place where Mother Teresa was born. They also have a fort, a craft beer brewery and an Old Bazaar.
In case you are new here, we are Will and Katy. We are a travel couple and we are traveling the world! We are currently in the Balkans.

It looks like Skopje has a lot more to offer than statues, the old buildings at the end looked interesting and I would have definitely done that hike! Glad the cat made it down safely! Looks like you are having a terrific time over in the Balkans, keep on travelling!

It’s pretty tough but I love doing the walk before the hike - I did this in Kyoto near the Kiyomizu Dera Temple, starting from my hotel near Kyoto station.

One more thing since I saw you guys did the hike 🧗🏻♂️up to the cross. When you come to Medellín, COLOMBIA 🇨🇴, go to Cerro De Las Tres Cruces (crosses). It's in Medellín. El Morron is another one that you can hike 🥾🥾 up to from COPACABANA near Medellín or from Guarne. I have a couple of vlogs on el Morron. And last also in Guarne the hike up to Maria Santificadora a religious place of pilgrimage. I have a vlog on it as well.

Excellent video Skopje is a very special town, with special people and all the unique gems that make this a one of a kind place, and now I am coming to the dog's defense you know actually that was the tour guide see how he was out there leading the way making sure all the hazards was out of the way he did an amazing job it's always good to see man's best friend doing his thing, the jet was very cool to see something that goes with the history of this amazing town, but what really got my attention was the millennium cross that took my breath away what an iconic statue it reminds me of the christ the redeemer statue in Rio de janeiro which also is about 100 ft tall to just stand their at the millennium cross had to be just stunning and amazed at the same time just to be in the presence of this iconic statue I am so thrilled about this adventure witytravels this is just one of the reasons your the best at what you do 🔥
Yes, the dog was a great guide! Dog 🐕 The jet was really cool. The Millennium Cross was an amazing site. Worth the hike!
