    probably not your issue, but I figured I'd post.
    .. I had a power steering pump making that noise and turns out the bolts were loose. i tightened then and it went loose again. I put some thread locker on the bolts, still came loose. Turns out, when my engine mounts went bad, the power steering pulley hit the subframe and bent the power steering pump shaft and it would vibrate enough to loosen the bolts (i figured all those out when my belt kept shredding) anyway, good luck! thanks for the awesome content!

      hoi Nico, ik heb zelf een 335i Met aardig wat PK, 442 whp en 660 nm op een strenge dyno om precies te zijn. Afgelopen zomer heeft mijn 6AT torque converter het begeven. Daarnaast was ook mijn blok kapot gegaan. Het blok is helemaal opnieuw opgebouwd met nog betere turbo's. Nou wou ik ook graag een DCT erin zetten, mijn vraag is of jij hier ervaring mee heb, waar je dit heb laten doen, of mij er eventueel ermee kan helpen. Mvg, Ruben

      @@BumpTune8462 While at school i worked in a dollar store and collecting trolleys at the local supermarket, i actually worked full time hours while finishing my last year of high school at the same time, then first year out of school, i got a job as a yard hand while doing the trolley pushing, (the guy who cleans and does all the shitty jobs at a car yard). Then became a salesman 6 months later, i started selling cars accidentally while i was cleaning the cars, customers would walk in and 18 year old me is loosing his mind over this 1998 Ford Lazer TX3 and i would know things about the cars, what makes them cool and selling just naturally happened. Even though it was a cheap used car yard, the cars were so cool and nice compared to what i was driving at the time, a 1985 Sigma. 3 years later I ran a car yard fully with my old man just the two of us, then we started a wrecking yard with David my bro who may see on the channel, the wrecking yard started selling parts online and it went crazy. By 2010 we were the biggest online parts business in the country. Then started a race team, lost an incredible amount of money, no more than you are thinking...... Sold the good business to pay off debt, then specialised in high level in house suspension manufacturing, this was very interesting but didnt make much money. Alongside a tyre import business which has really been paying the bills since 2015. I know the automotive industry from sales, repairs, reconditioning, the entire parts supply chain, modifications and so on better than most people. But until zeroto60 i was never really hands on working on the cars and bikes other than basic servicing. Which is why i love this so much. • @devonsmith1995
    @devonsmith1995 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I would also advice to ease up on the DI and lean more on the PI. But that is a bit of a double edge sword. The larger cc injectors you have the more likely you’ll be showing rich conditions on the hit if not tune in correctly. I 100% would find where the DI start to drop rail pressure and then start adding n the PI slowly. Until the tune makes it easier to manage the Fuel properly. That way you can take the DI out of the way and you can focus on PI and boost figures. I am not a tuner but my engineering and mechanic senses are telling me this might help.

    • @ZeroTo60Tube
      @ZeroTo60Tube  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Im on the same page as well. I kind of feel the PI is much harder to tune (remotely) than the DI, which is why a lot of tuners like to lean on DI more so. But when it comes to making power and going fast. PI for the win!

    Love your videos man! This car is a bullet.
    Looking at the logs I am seeing quite a bit of timing corrections which would definitely be hurting the power. I fixed that issue with Meth port injection on my own car, not sure what your thoughts are on that? Has Ken told you what might be causing those timing corrections they look to persist through the rev range? Your positive timing still builds up nicely but its definitely being affected by the timing drops.

    • @ZeroTo60Tube
      @ZeroTo60Tube  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Meth is simply an octane booster when it comes to corrections (it does cool the cylinders to a point, but the meth heats them up as well). Generally, full e85 will allow more timing than a meth combo, drag racers do not use meth anymore its all full e85/e90. But there a few things we can do moving forwards. This is the first revision designed specifically for this motor and trans setup and priority is getting boost control sorted. Once the turbos are doing whats needed dialling in the timing and vanos etc comes in to play.

      4th is 1.66:1, 6th is the 1:1 gear in the 8hp70. Soooo 4th is actually shorter than 3rd in a 6hp21 (1.56)

    Okay okay I’m sold now . I have a e90 335i x drive n55 what 8hp would you recommend. Cheap of course! And to retain x drive ! The forum link you’ve sent me was a f series n55, idk but I’m just assuming I can’t use that write up because I have a e90 x drive

      Unfortunately i dont know much about xdrive. However i believe the transfer case from your car will bolt on to even a x5 8hp70. By far the most common 8hp. I would start researching those options. Your car should still control the transfercase, the lamik controls the 8hp and makes the car think its still 6hp. I know a guy with a e70 LCI 8hp70 in a e90 xdrive.

    Okay I’ve been thinking about turbo swap and was wondering which are better 17t or 19t for more hp

    • @ZeroTo60Tube
      @ZeroTo60Tube  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you are going cheap, go 17t. They spool better than the 19t and the difference in top end is minimal.

    Interesting Video about how much stuff you can have a issue with😅 actually I'd freak out too about the weird noises, id shit my pants too after so many hours and money invested😅 btw why is fuel pressure still an up and down? Shouldn't it be somewhat more flat?

    • @ZeroTo60Tube
      @ZeroTo60Tube  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately with the stock PWM fuel control doing one of the Walbro 460s, we can't get a constant load sorted out. The stock controlled pump will run flat out, then the second one a walbro 525 kicks on at 100% which in turn spikes fuel pressure right up, then the main pump slows down, then return fuel reg is changing based on boost pressure and the cycle of the 2 pumps controlled differently trying to work together continues. It really needs a proper PWM controller for both pumps to smooth it out and ditching the primary fuel reg in the tank as well. However the important thing is low pressure never drops to a problematic value. It would however be nice to have a more consistent pressure behind the port injectors.

    You should probably be able to just turn the engine off and then the car goes into ‘P’ automatically.
