To hard Desync Pro Controllers from a Nintendo Switch (meaning the pro controllers will not reconnect): 1. Go to the Switch Home Menu by hitting the Home button on a JoyCon or Pro Controller (button looks like a house) 2. Hit the "System Settings" option on the bottom menu bar 3. Go the the "Controllers and Sensors Tab" 4. Scroll down the very bottom and select, "Disconnect Controllers" 5. Remove the Nintendo Switch from the Dock 6. Hold the "X" button on the JoyCon or Pro Controller that is synced to the Switch for 2 seconds. - The Desync station idea is awesome. - Crowds should have to stand a minimum distance of at least 5 feet away from the players. - Forcing tournaments to have inputs for these noise canceling headphones is not neccessary. Part of what makes sports in fun in general is hearing the noise from the fans. Especially if it can influence a game. Seeing an opposing team or player quiet fans with their play is also great. Players should learn to play through the noise. Other professional athletes do it. However, coaching, hateful, or ridiculously loud comments are completely uneccesary and should result in an immediate ban from the event. Maybe even future events if the player continues their rude behavior.
Also, adding onto Pedro's response, sometimes, audio cues are important when it comes to getting proper timing on certain actions. (M2K references this in the video when he mentions trying to hit edgeguards while surrounded by the posse.)
@@yowza9638 Audio cues are in every sport. Football especially. In fact, it makes worse for football players in comparison to smash brothers. Why? A tournament change I'd like to see (but will probably not happen): Unban a lot of stages that are *almost* legal (basically most tier 2 and 3 stages). So for example, stages that are too similar to existing stages (Yggdrasil's Altar, Wily Castle, Unova), asymmetrical/sloped (Lylat, Castle Seige), and small (WarioWare, Inc.). Then let players ban *categories* of stages, rather than specific stages So for example, you could choose to ban all "Final Destination" layout stages, and "Small" layout stages. Some stages would even fit into multiple categories. This would give a lot more variety for spectators, but also gives a lot of power to players to make effective bans Another spectator change that would be nice would be encouraging players to pick FD and BF layouts than are non-standard. It's a really refreshing to hear the different music and see different visuals!
It's crazy that stages are so limited in a PLATFORM fighter; you're not really a pro if you have to throw out most of the game to be able to play. People act like they're being personally attacked when a stage that isn't perfect for the character they like most is proposed. Increasing the number of stages would create a more complex and overall healthier meta; under-represented characters and unique styles of play would have more of a foothold to compete. And asymmetrical stage is no less fair than having the opening move in chess, sure one player has a slight statistical advantage but a skilled player is able to seize control. Within the first 10-15 seconds on a stage like Castle Siege any minor advantage from the side you start on will disappear and lead to a more nuanced battle of landing hits and vying for stage control. Maintaining an advantages position or reversing a bad spot are pillars of fighting games, not flaws that need to be corrected with forced rules. If you struggle with your main at a couple of stages, either get better with them or someone else. "That's the way we've always done it" is not a valid argument for maintaining the status quo.
I dunno if you're gonna get a respectful group of people. There has been audience interference since there have been sports.
