That is a wonderful gas.
I checked out your videos. You build an updraft. THE TAR MAKER it self.
The have a good gas you need a flame with a nice blue shine. We got that on that video.
But there is more potencial in that design. I have to test, again and again.

Yep the next step is to get better gas, with my possibilty to change the diffrence between the Reduction tube and the Rost. I will update on that.
After that i want to clean the gas, cool it and run an engine with it.

A flare on your gas outlet that you are trying to keep lit would make it stay lit. It looks like you have enough gas it is just hard to keep lit with the wind, add a flare and it should stay lit. I have an LP gas burner that does the same thing , but will burn fine in the furnace that it was designed for or with a flare in open air.

With that design, i simply don't produce tars. I crack it in the Reduction zone with Temp. obove 1000 degree.
That design ist definetely better than the classical FEMA or updraft gasifier. Thats all what i want to say with "tarfree"
It will never be TARFREE but much better than other desings.
I also thought about an air leakage. We'll see.

Why be so fast to jump the gun on them! He did say it was a first test and that they r going to rebuild it. One thing i can tell u to add in is some home made cyclones add atleast 3 or 4 they will cool yr gas alot and pull out water and tar. with 4 cyclones made right u can make a 50% or more blue flame. What i would do is put 3 in a row than go into a split filter first half wood chips than sec half sawdust than into a 4th cyclone filter u will than have a clean blue gas if not be close!
