My pal and I tied this buzzer over 20+ years ago and used on reservoirs Grafham,Eyebrook,Pitsford with great success,we named it the Desmond buzzer after Desmond TuTu.
Brilliant . Yes I remember being given a couple to use way back in the early 90s on Hanningfield . Not sure what they called them then . Brilliant little pattern !
Great Tim, new to tying and fly fishing in general, learning a lot from your vids. I have some utc mirror flash, I guess this would be fine to use on this pattern for the collar?
Hi Tim. What make of flexifloss are you using. I have problems with black flexifloss going grey when under any tension.Yours seems to keep it colour well, Thanks

Great fly Tim. It’s basically Paul Procter,s No-Frills buzzer with a collar.

Glad to see it’s no just me that the hooks in the vice slide down sometimes . Nice fly.

Nice easy pattern Tim, can I use the varnish I have (veniards) or is Sally Hansens a better option.
Normal varnish is fine , just leave it longer between coats to fully harden off . Great little pattern that has gotten me out of a few spots !

I think this was from Veinards . Had it a long time . Yea some of the cheaper or 'home dyed' stuff I see for sale is rubbish .
