      Let's see....monoshock rear, not retro. Giant honking radiator with chrome strips on the side to make it stand out, not retro. Giant, bloated, tortoise shell gas tank, ugly. You can have it.

    • @KB-yj5xp
      @KB-yj5xp 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@brianholdridge5243 It is clearly retro styled, its not a 70's duplicate but a modern retro styled bike, and probably the nicest best one out there. I understand looks can be subjective but from all the reviews I have read, negative comments about the looks and styling are almost non-existent and this is the first time I've ever heard someone call it ugly, but thats why there is more than one style of bike out there.

    All of you manufacturers need to pump up these rookie numbers !! 90hp with an engine over 1000cc whats up with that??? With an engine over 1,000cc it should be a minimum 120hp and you wont see an incredible sales increase until you do this very thing so shape up guys!! Vroom vroom!!

    No their not the best retro motorcycles,......the only useful innovation since the 80's has been suspension,.... I wouldn't trust a new bike,.....if the battery's bad,....there you will sit,... a 70's or 80's bike you kick it and go.
    Their just eye candy that nobody should buy.

    The old Triumphs had great engines the bolts sucked but the Amal carburetors made them legendary but the backwards wiring sucked but no other bikes compared to them.
    The definition of a bike,...... To me if I'm going to spend my money I want a great engine 650 or bigger,... any engine with a carburetor,...... Amal would be great,....and a kick starter,....... I want disc breaks front and back,...... and a chain and sprocket and old school tachometer and speedometer.
    If nobody sells a bike like that then the only good bikes their can be is a bike built by an individual.
    What fool would want fuel injection?
    What fool would want a belt or a drive shaft?
    What fool would want electronics's instead of a speedometer and tachometer?
    Why would anyone want a water cooled bike,.........winter always come's?
    The motorcycle industry needs to stop shoving garbage down our throats.
    All I can say is find a 70's or 80's bike and add disc brakes then you have a better bike than a new one.

      @Jimbo-in-Thailand 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Tim Newman - Yeah, I road a new 2017 W800 and it was indeed a great bike and gorgeous. It was a dazzling dark metallic blue with lots of chrome and really looked like a 1960s British bike... except that it didn't leak oil. Haha! It was smooth, handled well and certainly wasn't an overweight behemoth, like many in this video. It also sounded really nice, although a bit too muffled. Gotta admit I'm shocked to see the new 2020 W800 has horrible graphics and looks freakin' butt ugly. At least under the ugliness it's a great bike.

    For all the tradition it brings, and especially with this color, I am going for the Kawasaki z900 in 2020. The Royal Enfield looks awesome, although the Interceptor model is clearly inspired in the Honda CB 400 f of the seventies. I think Honda should do the same as Kawasaki did with the z900 and bring back the CB 400 f retro design ASAP.
