The lighter tan colors disrupt and conceal shapes and patterns very well when you are in the sunlight. Just enough green to match the sparse green in the environment. Surprisingly effective for the winter. Too much brown might overshadow, causing eye catching dark spots. Excellent demonstration. Thanks for sharing, keep up the good work!

Not outstanding, but really not bad at all. It was your silhouette that gave you away in most of these, rather than the color. The Navy really did a good job with these, especially considering how well this pattern does in spring/summer. I think I still give MARPAT the edge for fall, but I definitely think I'll be looking into finding some stuff in this pattern to test out in my own neck of the woods.
Awesome video! AOR2 is still extremely effective in your TX Winter environment. I find the most effective camo patterns have a sufficient percentage of light colors to reflect light as in the natural surroundings. Great examples are WW2 German Splittertarnmuster and Erbsenmuster patterns, which make them very difficult for the human eye to detect. Like trying to find a Ptarmigan. Thanks for sharing!
A perfect pattern for those grassy areas. I figured it would stick out more in the wooded areas but it still did pretty well there, but most of these spots were in those grassy patches where this camo worked wonders. It was so weird hearing robins in the video, too - they're awol this time of year in Indiana.
The Seabees were the last to get rid of the woodlands but we’re rewarded for the wait. I suppose I’m glad for the ship board Sailors who now get to wear it as well. I just wish they would KEEP THIER HANDS OUT OF THIER POCKETS!!!
Tommy Seabee standard Naval tradition I’m just a retired jarhead talking.... The Navy / Marine Corps has changed a lot since I retired in 2015. Nothing like what it used to be. Semper
Thanks for sharing ❤ I just finished my aor2 with the exception of the cover chest rig and pouches. So just the clothes. I like the fact that chest rig is a split rig with a zipper in front. I haven't started my aor1 yet way to expensive I was really surprised how well it worked in this season very effective.
Thanks for watching, that Pencott Badlands is one of the best for this time of year where I am. I've been wearing it recently in my Infantryman's guide videos. Superb pattern.
People underestimate just how green nature actually is. Fresh vegetation, even sparse vegetation, is never an olive drab. It’s a lot brighter than people give it credit for. I know on pendleton bright faded woodland MARPAT tends to blend into sparse dry brush far better that desert or new woodland MARPAT does
Great video and presentation as always. This pattern is very effective and it sort reminds me of the Russian Flora effect. Blends very well. Job well done!
Better than I expected but still was about 60-40 on hiding from my computer monitor. I'm sure live and in person, it does a different job. Depending on how "in the open" you were or how much stuff was between the camera and you made all the difference. All in all... it beats the Army's UCP hands down. ;-)
I didnt think was going to work out so well but damn was I wrong. I found you on the first second and fifth but all of the other scenarios I was dead. Definitely got me to rethink that camo pattern.
The first example was really good; I didn't see you at all until you moved. The second one was more obvious--possibly because I knew the tells of shadow and body shape after seeing the first one, or maybe you were closer in it--but the third one was really pretty easy. Shadow gave you away, and maybe you were closer still in that one. Fourth and fifth one were almost too easy to pick you out of the leaves and brush/trees. I couldn't pick you out in any of the following examples except the last one, and that was where you looked a little too much like you didn't belong. The other ones where I didn't pick you out were because you used concealment brilliantly. Your silhouette disappeared as did the light/shadow betrayal. Nicely done. This was very informative and gives me some bit of confidence in the digital camo pattern that I just can't get behind, given the superior quality of the newest pattern that so much closer to flecktarn (which I think works brilliantly). This video was very informative and well executed. I appreciate your contribution to our continued education, especially to old dudes such as myself who really liked the woodland camo of yesteryear (circa 1980-2000 or so (I got out in 1999)). Your method and style of instruction is quite familiar. Keep up the good work.
I thought this was very effective in the summer woodland. It was surprisingly effective in the Texas winter woodland, but there were a lot of shots with green in them. I wonder if it would be as effective a little further north where there is no green grass and only scattered evergreen bushes and trees. Some of the desert camo you’ve done in the winter, might also be good in summer woodlands. There are not many videos that illustrate that.
Grass in the wintertime in suburbs has the same color profile as AOR II with the dried, dead grass as the tans, with the more living grass as the greens. This could potentially make a fantastic wintertime camouflage for the suburbs.
Pretty cool video, this is some weird green magic here. Works a lot better than I expected as well. There is SOME green in the environment, but it's enough to make this work. Guess the Navy did its homework well.
It's good, not too bright and seems to have the right colors that reflect your foliage there. Out in the open during daylight it seems to be good in the prone position. I doubt it would work as well here in my mountains this time of year. It is pretty good but I'm still sold on Rhodesian camo and ATACS. Thanks @Brent.
People thought I was crazy as to ask why there is no brighter green or neon green camo's that complement bright green vegetation. Type III's finally fills that gap I've been searching for. They are bright when new, but the colors do fade fast.
This is why I was not a fan of them when we made the switch from type 1. Though to be fair, I was also a young pissed off engineer who had to spend about $200 on a set, to only wear them 3 times. Having stumbled upon these videos, I have to say that I absolutely am a believer of the AOR2. I live just south of this area/region, and have been testing with bits of firewood and scrub brush. It's good stuff.
Works very well, I think. Maybe not in the most "dry/brown" areas, here, but still a lot of spots with green grass, where this pattern blend fine. Almost a little darker, digital variant of Multicam, in some way? Interesting as usual!!
Hey Brent,..I'd say that pattern was very effective down Texas way even in January... Nobody produces video classes as well as both you & Bruce, yes there are some great ones out there, but yours seem to stand out above the others...Another great one by Brent0331...
Hi mate I am a viewer from Australia I really enjoy watching your content keep it up I don't know what it is called but your hair dress that you were wearing e.g.(hat) tended to give you away especially when you were in brighter backdrops and it's very square angular shape also didn't help I lost you a couple of times in darker backdrops and backdrops that had a lot of visual clutter note if I was not actively looking for you I may not have seen you on a general glance over the area keep up the good work mate cheers.
Even on my very nice colour accurate monitor at 2x speed so subtle wind shifts are exaggerated this has been the most effective camo yet. The only times I clearly identify you and not just guess is when your silhouette isn't broken up and that isn't a camo issue it is a being prone on flat ground issue. Now would these results change being in person with more depth to what we are looking at maybe but even so fantastic camo pattern.
I have done a video over A-TACS IX already. My channel mainly features military patterns. I've done a few hunting patterns over the years but I mostly collect and enjoy military patterns the most.
Brent0331 I did see the A-TACS IX and it blends in really good. I bought a boonie hat with that pattern as well. Thinking about buying the jacket and pants too.
I had no clue how good the human brain was at detecting movement. I never pinged you until I saw even the slightest of "unnatural movement," if you will.
If you look for the human silhouette, you can actually spot him in most of these better than any other search method. Also look for shadows. This particular pattern is quite good, though, especially in spring/summer. The Navy definitely benefited from the experience of other similar patterns like MARPAT previously.
Seems to work great. To be honest, I can not see the green that much in the pattern, but color is..not my strong suit so I will take your word for it, ha.
Nailed u three times ...twice visually..once instinctively..twice came close..twice distracted..the last one and forth vid were distractive..the forth vid was curious...the trees had a hole cut through them to the sky line and back country looks like a ride..so my eyes kept wonder over to look at it..yeah u kept pulling my eyes away from the ground in surch of lingering enemies..u ether getting better or I'm getting worse..HA
Hey, would be cool if you could try to get your hands on some Norwegian M98 woodland camo. Also damn 236 k subs, i feel like it's only a few years since you were at 5 k.. Keep up the Great work mate
Brent0331 I’ve been looking for it in the U.S. but having a hard time finding it and all the stuff from Europe seems pretty pricy. It does look pretty good though
One of the best patterns I have seen so far :o Would you be doing Yugo M89/93 Oak Leaf test any time soon? I just love your videos :) Greetings from Serbia!
Didn't find it particularly difficult to spot you quickly in most shots. While the pattern blends in decently, it doesn't break up your silhouette enough to be really effective like some others we've seen(Russian patterns for sure).

Thanks for sharing!
def 1 of the best camos.
3rd shot you stuck out.
4th, 5th, 8th I could see you but that is only if I was looking for you.
It worked pretty good! I only "saw" you once.
Tommy Seabee standard Naval tradition
I’m just a retired jarhead talking....
The Navy / Marine Corps has changed a lot since I retired in 2015.
Nothing like what it used to be.
Semper
Thanks for sharing ❤
I just finished my aor2 with the exception of the cover chest rig and pouches.
So just the clothes. I like the fact that chest rig is a split rig with a zipper in front.
I haven't started my aor1 yet way to expensive
I was really surprised how well it worked in this season very effective.
The boots and the cover give you away 80% of the time. Good shit
Cool pattern Brent . Watched your channel grow over the years, fair play to you mate you have put some hard work into it. Cheers .Atb Darren
I think this is WAY more effective than even Multicam! Looks like the Navy gets camo better than the Army.
I love AOR2 awesome color and great to blend in. It works and looks bad ass too!
I guess I'm the odd man out. I normally can't find you in these videos, but this camouflage made you stand out more than usual.
Blends in pretty well in that surrounding, but there is no disruptive effect like you can find in the Pencott patterns. Thanks for showing
Thanks for watching, that Pencott Badlands is one of the best for this time of year where I am. I've been wearing it recently in my Infantryman's guide videos. Superb pattern.
a very effective pattern. the neutral colors of the pattern match perfectly with the negative spaces in the environment.
All in all... it beats the Army's UCP hands down. ;-)
Ha yup, fortunately for the Army they moved on from UCP.
Way better than I thought
I didnt think was going to work out so well but damn was I wrong. I found you on the first second and fifth but all of the other scenarios I was dead. Definitely got me to rethink that camo pattern.
Brent... try this on a cloudy day for comparison ... caught shadow outlines with the sun being so bright. Cool idea ... thanks for making the vid!!!!
Thanks brother.
Probably one of my top three camo patterns
Impressive one ( and multiterrain) it resembled me a snake with its black spots. Bravo. An A+ for the yanks this time.

Me: Secretary, clear all my appointments this afternoon
Ha
Pretty cool video, this is some weird green magic here. Works a lot better than I expected as well. There is SOME green in the environment, but it's enough to make this work. Guess the Navy did its homework well.
It's good, not too bright and seems to have the right colors that reflect your foliage there. Out in the open during daylight it seems to be good in the prone position. I doubt it would work as well here in my mountains this time of year. It is pretty good but I'm still sold on Rhodesian camo and ATACS. Thanks @Brent.
Thanks brother.
@@BlitzieKun1292 I miss the Type I's... They looked awesome. Wear some aviators, and you were high fly.
Excellent video AND cammo, checked to see how much it was OMG !!! That stuff is NOT cheap......
Nope, sure isn't, give it a few years. Multicam is cheap now, wasn't always the case.
Works very well, I think. Maybe not in the most "dry/brown" areas, here, but still a lot of spots with green grass, where this pattern blend fine. Almost a little darker, digital variant of Multicam, in some way? Interesting as usual!!
Thanks for putting these together! I'm really bad at this but I did manage to find the Marine in 4 of the examples.
Thanks for watching.
Hey Brent,..I'd say that pattern was very effective down Texas way even in January... Nobody produces video classes as well as both you & Bruce, yes there are some great ones out there, but yours seem to stand out above the others...Another great one by Brent0331...
Thanks brother.
Superb blending
fantastic camo for this environment
perfect camouflage is one of my favorites in the Polish woodland :) !
So much better than the ACU's I wore!
The Military is stuck on Multicam these day's. I think this is one of the best patterns I've seen, both for all seasons.
Very effective, much better that OCP will ever be. Maybe the Army should adopt this camo??
Hi mate I am a viewer from Australia I really enjoy watching your content keep it up I don't know what it is called but your hair dress that you were wearing e.g.(hat) tended to give you away especially when you were in brighter backdrops and it's very square angular shape also didn't help I lost you a couple of times in darker backdrops and backdrops that had a lot of visual clutter note if I was not actively looking for you I may not have seen you on a general glance over the area keep up the good work mate cheers.
Thanks for watching man.
That’s not bad! I have seen it in parts of Cali and it was very effective-Dimitri
Thanks for watching brother.
i dont know if my eyes are playing tricks on me but for some reason this camo blends in so fking good in summer and fall.
Very nice video !
Thanks
That blends right in. I wonder how it works in the desert, given its ability to take on the brown hues.
If and when I go back to the desert I will bring it to see.
I scored 2/14 with 4 that were really close but not quite.
I would like to see some more hunting camo effectiveness. Maybe Mossy Oak Bottomland. Really like the A-Tacs IX camo.
The one at 4:05 had me guessing! Lol. Looks pretty good and probably a better match for your area than MARPAT even, what would you say?
Great content as always! Love me some AOR II!
Thanks
I had no clue how good the human brain was at detecting movement. I never pinged you until I saw even the slightest of "unnatural movement," if you will.
If you look for the human silhouette, you can actually spot him in most of these better than any other search method. Also look for shadows. This particular pattern is quite good, though, especially in spring/summer. The Navy definitely benefited from the experience of other similar patterns like MARPAT previously.
Would of been nice to give us a snap shot of aor1 for a comparison.
It does appear a tad too green for this enviroment.
I love these videos!
Seems to work great. To be honest, I can not see the green that much in the pattern, but color is..not my strong suit so I will take your word for it, ha.
So this is the real multicam.
Ha
I enjoy watching your channel, especially on camouflage, and I'm aware of your surroundings. What about snow camo?? I live way up north.
It hasn't snowed here in about 4 years, I'm waiting for some!
interesting pattern breaks up for coloring thanks god bless
I really like your videos tho I know with all the different camo out there and what u have you know what to wear and when to wear it
In that the pattern is green dominant it still is effective in fall/winter foliage. Needs some medium browns.
I'd say adequate at best. I seen you against the Texas brown on the 2nd, 4th and 5th easily. A couple others also.
The shirt you are using in this video , is it used by tactical forces or it is used only by navy staff? Thanks. Great video👍
Hey, would be cool if you could try to get your hands on some Norwegian M98 woodland camo. Also damn 236 k subs, i feel like it's only a few years since you were at 5 k.. Keep up the Great work mate
Thanks brother
The angled cover stands out most of the time before the camouflage.
Awesome video 03 thy th 1 😁
Hi, Brent0331.
Would like to see your test of Multicam Arid in woodland and prairie areas!
I want to see some of the German ConCamo if you can get a hold of it. I’ve been looking at it lately and the videos that I’ve seen looked awesome.
It is an awesome pattern :)
Haven't got any yet.
Brent0331 I’ve been looking for it in the U.S. but having a hard time finding it and all the stuff from Europe seems pretty pricy. It does look pretty good though
Good pattern. Thank you.
One of the best patterns I have seen so far :o Would you be doing Yugo M89/93 Oak Leaf test any time soon? I just love your videos :) Greetings from Serbia!
Thanks brother, I need to get my hands on some pants and I sure will.
Brother, it works good. I think I like it slightly more than the marines marpat, just slightly.
face paint to orange /brown I sure could use camo for squirrel hunting.
I think Aor2 is the coolest looking camo our Military utilizes
It works pretty good even it's green dominated I need one that for sure!
Didn't find it particularly difficult to spot you quickly in most shots. While the pattern blends in decently, it doesn't break up your silhouette enough to be really effective like some others we've seen(Russian patterns for sure).
This is like an upgraded KLMK in appearance and ability.
Working well
I have a few sets from my time as a seabee. Now im too fat. Need to loose a few pounds to get back in them
How about flir or ir
