I first started with WIN 3.1
@@allanmcelroy9840 amateurs .... DR-DOS ->Win 3.1->3.11->Win95->Linux RedHat 4.2 ->...->Linux Mint "Vera"
Thirteen floppies? Windows 95 came in *_ONE CD!!!_* (you could, if absolutely necessary, specially order it as thirteen floppies ...but that was a VERY RARE exception!)
my brother is 3 and he knows what a modem is
+Arshdeep Grewal weird
+Arshdeep Grewal Well yeah.. You still need to use a modem today weather it be Cable, dsl, etc
+Arshdeep Grewal your point?
we were taught about modem in 6th grade
+Arshdeep Grewal Yeah i just don't get it. Why don't they know what a modem is ?
They failed at technology not knowing the difference between a monitor and the computer
+pg1701 I know right! The buttons to turn on and off your computer are still the same lol...
They probably use iMacs (everything is in the actual monitor)
@Stefano Magaddino the education now is just online. It's all right here at your fingertips!
they can't even tell monitors and computers apart lol but we still use both so that's kinda weird
+Ostebrix 1. Maybe they use Mac laptops 2. They had no prior knowledge of the system
„What is a modem?“
„What is DOS?“
I think the basic history of computing and internet and some basics like what do you need to have internet on a pc should be taught in school
those teens are kinda triggering me
Same. Although I had Windows 98, I still am mad that they don't know how to use Windows 95.
@@nostalgiachase Not our fault we weren't born in 1985
At least we have karan bar.
I had Windows 95 when I was 7 years old. My mom bought an old PC for me back in 1997 and I played kids games such as Math Blaster and Putt Putt travels through time. Also Ski Free and Space Pinball.
...
"What's a modem?"
THEY STILL EXIST
+Joshua Heape ikr
+Joshua Heape Yeah... my thoughts exactly...
these poor helpless teens
"what's a modem?" 🤦🤦♂️🤦♀️ oh salty lord Cheesus! We still have modems! Yes, even in your iPhones
Exactly xD
You don’t have a modem in your phone
@@tyleratomic yes you do
@@tyleratomic www.quora.com/Do-cell-phones-have-built-in-modems
@@tyleratomic Sorry, but hardware in your phone convert abstract digits of data to electromagnetic waves, which are ... not digits. And back. So, it MOdulator-DEModulator.
Computers nowadays aren’t that different from how they were in the 20th century, it just takes slightly less work to use a computer now because of the amount of power. You can still have the same old computer setup look but with either a standard modern tower, a super powerful tower, or actually have a vintage tower.
"how do you get online without wifi?". LMAO if you know what wifi actually means you wouldn't say that lol. I'm sure almost everyone does but this girl surprised me lol
I swear they don't even know what ethernet is...
@@xyzzy64 The... net of the... ether?
Actually it was 2 of the girls saying that, which makes it even worse
Where were these kids 10 years ago? All computers/monitors worked liked that
Ah well.... And here I'm sitting.... watching this video.... With my ancient PC running Windows 95 :(
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAAA
+Tech Volt You're lying.
I still use my windows 2000 until last year
actually used winxp until maybe half a year ago
+Tech Volt Nope. Your video player or codex would allow for it.
my dad (rest in peace) bought me my first windows 95 cpu, it was one of the best gift i ever had....
These 'Teens' are mostly 3-4 years younger than me and act like they know nothing?
Weird that everyone I know (including 17/18 y.o) have at least heard of and seen Win 95/98 before
+Espere312 heck I'm 18 and i used windows 95 and 98
I'm nineteen and I remember a lot about computers because my grandma used to fix them.
Had XP till 2012
+Espere312 I am younger then these teens and know more about this kind of stuff.
i like the booting sound when theme song coming so chilling
To gamers we need LAN cable more than wifi.
Lan>wifiX10
+Gabe H. YES! Wifi is for peasants
+Anduin Wrynn lol they don't even know how to turn on a computer & you are asking about LAN :p
+Anduin Wrynn My thoughts!
+Anduin Wrynn yup. I have my modem and my router right on my computer desk. Also Drake is right.
I’m 35 and I remember windows 95 as the most cutting edge thing ever.
I still had windows 95 in school back in 2009, i can't believe these teens can't even work with it
Seriously, I'm 20 and I used 95 as a kid. Where these kids born in a cave?
I'm 17 and used it as a kid on my grandmother's computer
Your 20 and can't use were instead of where.
+Noah Sanchez *You're. You literally walked into that.
Glenn Fitzpatrick
nice one XD
ikr..next they are going to act like Nokia is a prehistoric phone....
That moment when a phone goes near the computer and it goes eeeeeeeee. Or is it just me?
You can use that to find out when your phone is transferring data.
I am crying now they make me feel like I am 80 years old and im 32 😫
I feel the same over windows 98
I feel the same over windows 98
I feel the same, and I lived around windows 3.1 with Lotus 1-2-3, if you know that 🤣😅
I'm 27 and feel ancient watching this. I remember the dialup days
We may as well be 82, these days they just get an iPad and there done set for life, they never will ever see technology progress in there lives.
These teens are 16-19 and they haven't seen these or used one? Come on!!!!! I'm 19 and I've used this!
+Kachi Edward just my thoughts
+Kachi Edward 15 and used it...
This was my first computer as a child and I'm only 16 😂
Same
same
Same with me too!
XD facts me 2 XD 😂 😂
+Jemma Dux same xD
We still use modems today, and a lot of them didn't even know what one is.
They never walk around their house and find out where tf does their wifi come from
I started with Basic programming in the early 80's, then moved to MS-DOS, everything since has been so easy by comparison.
kids these days dont even know how to turn on a computer...
no they do it's just this is for entertainment so they get actors
Laptop they probably will, but I agree an actual desktop, they probably can't.
These kids aren't kids...
most people use phones and not computers
Oh okay boomer
"as in 1995?" nah as in 2095
lelel
+E72M Gaming hahah
Obviously the year 95 bc.
+E72M Gaming I think she thought 1895 x)
give her a break
I still use this.
I finished using '95 only 3 years ago.
+Patricia Bb
Im so jealous.
I used XP up until 2012
You should try 98SE. Fixed a lot of the bugs.
+Patricia Bb lawl .w.
Imagine what happened if they reacting to DOS and Windows 3.1, would be interesting.
....Windows 3.1 is pretty much the same.
I used those... i had to teach my family how to use DOS first, and later Windows 3.1.. by the time Windows 95 came out, they pretty much had it sorted.. i'm 51 now, and i'm stll familiar with DOS.. by the way.. when did microsoft remove hyperterminal from windows? I still have devices that can connect through a 9 pin RS232 cable.. i want my hyperterm.exe back!
I started with Win 3.1....
3.1 used more typing commands, though. I remember using 3.1 in school before 95 was released, and I don't think we were equiped with computer mouses. But maybe my school was just cheap.
I started with computers just as DOS was giving way to Windows. Windows 95 was so smooth compared to anything before it and so easy to work with. So much typing with DOS when 2 mouse clicks in Windows did the same thing.
I was born in 96. So that means I'm prehistoric? lol
Nope but if you were born one year earlier you would be xD
+Alan Lightner I was born in '87 in Soviet Union :D
+Alan Lightner apparently, yeah. I'm in the same boat xD
+Stanisław Lipski 85', Georgia :D
+Alan Lightner No cause you were a baby
they dont even know how to switch on a computer...like the procedure has changed in the last 20 years...
+TheGsGClan probably used to tablets and laptops ahahaha
"Wait, what is a modem?"
this is where I draw the line
when all they know if wifi -.-
For a long time I thought router and modem were equivalent terms, because I was born in 89 ROFL
..the PHONE line? hr hr.
Same
Ye same.
as a 13 year old born in literally 2008, I know more about these old computers than them lmao.
IM 10 AND I KNOW VIRTUAL MACHINES
