    Anna, does the thickness of the copper vessel also determine the quality of the water because as I've seen most of the copper pots available on the market are really thin for cost cutting reasons, so could you please clarify this information, does the thikness of the pot significant, is more the thickness result in the water being more effectively charged in less time?

    Hi . I love that you guys even provide knowledge on the uses of our traditional vessels rather than just selling them !
    I just had one question after listening to this video.
    You said that the water stored in a copper pot will be neutralised and you also said it contains more of alkalinity . Aren't they two different things ? Cuz, there are people who follow certain western diets that contain alkaline foods, so is it safe for them to drink the copper water as well?

    • @Zishta

    • @Zishta
      @Zishta  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Peace be upon you too. Generally copper should be used for water storage purpose without a tin coating(No sliver). You do not need the coating. Generally that coating wears off with use and you can continue to use it. Hope this helps.

    Can I stored Ro water in a copper vessel and then drink

    • @Zishta

      You can. But sometime RO water can be very acidic. Check acidity level of RO water before storing in Copper. Simple litmus test would help.

    @amitroy-yq3ox 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sir,
    I already have a KENTRo water purifier from which we use to filter water and drink... My question is Can we drink the filtered water after storing it for the whole night in a copper Jug/Vessel???

    • @Zishta
      @Zishta  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can surely do that. Sometime, the RO purifiers make the water lot more acidic that it is supposed to me. We would recommend you purchase a litmus paper test the RO purified water if its really acidic. This way you can check if the copper spottig/oxidisation is lot more (which would happen if its extremely acidic).

    Hi. Thank you very much for the very precise and well documented exposition. I'm concerned about the quality of a copper vessel I recently bought, after more than 8 hours the water has a decise metal taste to point of being kinda "stingy" to the throath. Can that be a sign of potential health hazards?

    • @Zishta
      @Zishta  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Usually copper leeches more with increased number of hours and so it renders a metallic taste. If the quality of copper is good and if you have not used cold or warm or acidic water, then it would not be harmful.

    • @themiocompare3728
      @themiocompare3728 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Zishta damn I used cold water. You know I also have a glass made of copper and, even not after many hours, the "lower part" of the water always has that metallic taste, regardless of how long it has been there. I guess it shouldn't be a problem right?

    • @Zishta
      @Zishta  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      its very tough to gauge purity that easily. Look at oxidisation level once exposed to air also see if there is a shiny coating on top which generally is a lacquer coat to prevent the copper from oxidising. Hope this helps.

    • @Zishta
      @Zishta  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, that is the leaching of Copper metal. As long as the water was stored in normal temperature and no acidic substances like lemon were added, it is fine to drink the water - If you do not have issues with the metallic taste. Usually, water stored for 24 hours have the formation on the top.

      Yes we ship to the US. You can reach us at 6360966871 for details.
      A few things to know are: copper should not be lacquered where water comes in contact with it, a good copper or brass should oxidize, ask for the purity and whether any tests have been done.

      actually , you do not have to boil it. Boiling helps mainly in removing bacteria but that work has already been done by copper. Even if you boil, there is no issue. You do not lose the benefits.

    Do we need to clean copper pot every day and add water in it (after discarding leftover at the end of the day)? Is it harmful to drink the water if it is not cleaned every day? How often we need to clean it? if I place a copper plate (sheet) in steel water pot, will it provide same benefit?

    • @Zishta
      @Zishta  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ideally you wash the copper pot like any other water storage pot at least alternate days with water. Whenever the oxidization is more, which usually will be around once in 10 days or so, please wash it with tamarind or lemon. These are the best to wash copper pots. Do not allow the bluish green patina to be formed as that affects the stomach.
      Regarding placing copper plate in steel water pot, we do not have enough scientific evidence with us to suggest either to go for it or not. Ideally, the entire surface of a copper storage pot acts on the water and that is important.
