I was misdiagnosed with spatial neglect after a stroke, some time after leaving hospital I was correctly diagnosed with homonymous hemianopia. Haven't been offered any form of rehab or support, or seen a neurologist, since being discharged from hospital. The NHS is actively negligent in their treatment of stroke patients after initial discharge.

What did you do for rehabilitation.
Are you trying prism glasses for hemianopia?

Hello my name is isaac and I'm from San Antonio Texas. June 11th 2020 I met a woman I thought I would spend at least the next 20 years of my life with, Tara Renee Jackson Mabins. She was one of the sweetest woman I have ever met. Always thought about others before herself. Had a heart of pure gold. Yes things weren't always perfect between us, but we were always there for one another. February 18th 2022 was a day I hated that had to come. I'm reaching to someone to ask if I'm wrong for not paying my respects for not being able to go to the funeral or for not donating to her GoFundMe page that her daughter setup? I fully understand what she is going through because I lost my mother 18 years this May. Though time heals all wounds, I steal feel the sting of my mother's passing because of the way it happened just like Tara's kids will feel the sting from time to time. The daughter at least called and left me the message on my voicemail of her passing and it hit me like a ton of bricks. Yes I am still grieving but not to the extent that it will stress me out because I have a 19 year that I still have to be here for. I would appreciate a response. Thank you.

I’m really worried if I have to lose my vision after stroke I’m paralyzed on my left side but I’m grateful to God that most of the paralyzed parts are beginning to function properly and both my hands and legs have started functioning properly but my problem now is that I can barely see out of one eye or both eyes actually and another major problem is that I just experienced seizures recently which I have never had prior to my stroke and surgery; are these things that I should be worried about

I met with a bike accident in 2017, just after accident I lost my partial upper vision in my left eye. I still have that problem. Not sure if I really visit a doctor now? Can it be fixed or it's something that will stay forever?

It’s a shame you didn’t have an orthoptist or ophthalmologist (any kind of eye health professional) represented in the vision after stroke webinar. Is this something you could look into for future events? 👀
The best way to help patients with spatial neglect is to have an eye health professional involved as soon as visual issues are suspected.
