- Full week of painting in my studio. I found the courage to bring out an old piece and pick up where I left off. Getting back into the groove of things and developing solutions for my art blocks has felt great. This journey with this piece has been a rollercoaster, but I feel much better about it. I'm also slowly getting used to working on several pieces at once. It hasn't been easy, but I've been filled with so many ideas lately, so I can't help but create. We also have our MFA review coming up in a month for school. Which means I need a lot more work to show for my critique.

Is there a reason you choose the neon colors as you base layers for your painting? Do they add more brightness when the other colors are added on top?
