      Two show biz giants. They were so good at what they did. Johnny was a drummer, but not on the level of Buddy.

    Nice to hear how much he was looking forward to England. It was a fact that he loved London, particularly Ronnie Scott's. And England loved him - it still does. It always will.
    A supreme talent. A difficult man, yet driven by the pursuit of absolute excellence.
    We wont see his like again

    This was on my birthday, I just turned 13 years old! I became a drummer one year later!🥁👌that was William Devine sitting next to Buddy Rich 🥁👏

    What a guy! I would have given anything to just be able to hang with Buddy for a couple days...nice performance as well!

    They mention Michael Parkinson. Buddy did his last interview in 1987 with Parkinson. Good interview.

    The perfect kit...4 drums...not a million like today and a million cymbals, so you can’t even see the drummer.
    I always wonder what those drummers are like, on a basic 4 piece kit, like here.

    Jeepers CREEPERS that was a solo. And in amongst a generally great piece of music. Funny how this old footage compares favourably with modern videos of people, erm, just playing very quickly to impress you.

      Supraphonic, Ludwig LM400 snare drum. Superpersensitive same drum shell, but a different strainer. More expensive.

      @@karllansing7927 I just watched him recently in the movie Rolling Thunder. Very good movie worth checking out.
