Hi. I watched you so much on makers gonna learn. Didn’t know you now have your own business. Congrats! I am having so much trouble with the Vinyl staying on the backing paper before weeding. I am using oracle vinyl with my cricut air explorer. It’s usually when I am doing 1 inch letters. I have read to try using the Washi tape settings or reverse weeding. That doesn’t always help. Any ideas ? Thank you.

I have a brand new cricut machine (Maker 3) and am using smart cricut vinyl (permanent) with no mat and I used the more setting as well as changed the pressure in settings. It’s still not cutting all the way through? HELP!?

When printing, Cricut is cutting the design above the vinyl onto the top of the mat, how do I fix this?

Outdoor vinyl like Oracal 951 is cast, and is actually THIINER than calendared vinyl like StarCraft HD (which I LOVE) and Oracal 651. Cast vinyl is much stronger than calendared, which is why it can be thinner. It also conforms to irregular surfaces (rivets, ridges, etc) than even the best calendared vinyl.

If your having a problem with a cricut explore air 2 not cutting deep enough. It’s probably the washer inside the silver housing has slipped that holds clamp b still. 2 small screws in the back of the silver housing. Get a strong thin tool and push the housing back up till the bearing is flush with the plastic…15 minutes and mine was cutting like brand new again. There is a TH-cam vid.

Hello. Watch a video by Karla Cricut Creations called How to get clean cuts with your Cricut machine - troubleshooting ideas. Hope it helps.

@Canigetanawwwwyyyyeeeah mentions below that she found out that Clamp B's housing had slipped and that was stopping the cut being the right depth. They also mentioned a TH-cam on how to fix it but didn't post the link and another person said they thought they had the same problem. I found a link to how to fix this. Hope this helps.

    My blade still isn’t working

Unfortunately, it may be none of these things.... Cricut Maker + new Cricut standard grip mat + Cricut Premium Vinyl - True Brushed + Premium Vinyl - True Brushed material selected in design space = horrible results... "more" pressure, no help, adding a second pass still only about 80% of the pattern is cut through, and that's after selecting "more" pressure for the first pass.
My fine point blade has less than 2 hours of cutting, & only with Cricut vinyl's. I double checked it anyway with a 15x magnifier, and it looks flawless.
So... a 6th reason may be Cricut's own material settings... Even the "more" pressure setting didn't fix, so, I chose 65lb cardstock setting & "less" pressure, and it cut like a dream, even with dozens of very tiny ovals less than 1/16" wide x 3/16" tall.
