Design Space can be very frustrating and there are frequent updates yet the software is still "broken". The cutter has limitations that other cutters do not. Roller bars turn to mush and not for the faint of heart to replace. I have learned a lot since having my Cricut and it has been great but it's a love/hate relationship. Once ready to be replaced, I may go to the Siser Romeo, maybe Juliet. The only reason I may stay with Cricut is all of the accessories I have spent money on that will work with Cricuts only. Great for a beginner if computer literate, patient and have a computer that can keep up with designing. Design Space is easier in regards to understanding the software (when it works) than Silhouette although Silhouette Studio has many features Design Space does not. Plus I have not had crazy, unstable bugs with Silhouette Studio like I do with Design Space. Haven't used Leonardo yet. Who knows I could be just as frustrated with another machine for different reasons. But if I stay with Cricut, I will most likely get the 3 that cuts smart material as that has less limitations than the other Cricut machines with the exception of the giant one. Too big for my little home and cannot use the accessories I have with the big one. Whichever machine you decide on, you will enjoy it once the project is done and you are showing it off. Unless it's a project that was a fail. Be ready for that too, trust me, it will happen! Happens to everyone. Good Luck.
Good input. I haven’t experienced issues with the machine having to replace parts but the software can be frustrating with all the updates you do. Thanks for sharing. 😊
I hate my cricut maker. Software is so frustrating. Device cant save set pressure. As someone who is used to programming cnc machines and using sls printers this machine gives me pain every time I need to use it
Thanks for this! I've been using my laser cutter for most of my projects but have been looking into getting a cricut for materials where the heat from the laser is causing issues.
They aren't all the same speed but not far apart. The Maker is the only one that has a tool for debossing. You can use the scoring stylus or foil transfer tool to do it on other machines.

You’re welcome. Only certain vinyls work with lasers.
This was a great video and I have made my choice based on your examples. I am new to this! Thank you.
Thank you! You can't go wrong with Cricut. If you need help, let me know.
Do all they have the same speed? Can air explore 2 do emboss and deboss?
They aren't all the same speed but not far apart. The Maker is the only one that has a tool for debossing. You can use the scoring stylus or foil transfer tool to do it on other machines.
The Maker is still around? That’s like 10 years old!
Yep 👍
It's been very quiet at Cricket lately. Ashish sold most of his shares. I smell a management shakeup

So a computer is required?
@@marciabonk2533 - there’s an app for iOS and android you can use on a phone or tablet.

The website says the Joy Xtra can cut 8.2" wide, when using a mat. Not 4.5".
@@molahi5779 - correct. The Joy cuts 4.5” wide
I’m using a Cricut right now and I’m ready to spike it off the ground
If there’s something I can help with, let me know.
Cricut is terrible
