- In this video, Tim Urdan, author of Statistics in Plain English, explains how to read Appendix A from his book. This is the table of probabilities associated with z scores and the normal distribution.
Fingers crossed you read your comments. I have a question and a suggestion. Question: Do you know of any probability literature written in the same style (plain English) as your book? I think that would be a great opportunity for another book from you. Ok, I guess I have two suggestions. The second being, for your hypothetical 5th Edition, it'd be great if you performed the computational calculations via R, the Statistical software package alongside your handwritten work. Same goes for the hypothetical probability book. Either way, love your work. Hoping for more.
Hello. Thanks for your comment and suggestion. Unfortunately, I have not found a good, comprehensible book on probability. I appreciate your suggestion that I write such a book, but don't think I will follow through on that. But I do think it would make sense for me to talk more about probability in the 5th edition of the book, so I will keep that in mind. I am currently learning R and will definitely give it a more prominent role in the next edition of the book. By that time R may be more popular that SPSS, if it isn't already.
