nice healthy lawn I’m thinking about the same thing how deep you install the head nozzle and what is size of the tube or pipe you used? during winter time do you need to drain all the pipes?
Thanks!! This is the time to do it! Yup that that's exactly what I did. I have another video showing the installation. The only thing I recommend is putting a backflow preventer on the spigot and you'll be all set 👍
Nice video, thank you. Is that Rain Bird brand 1/2” tubing? What connector did you use to tie the 1/2” tubing into the b-hyve? Do you remember the specific make and name?
I have a link for it in the video's description 3/4 in. Female Hose Thread x 1/2 in. 0.700 O.D. Compression Swivel Adapter. I think you can still find it at HD or Lowes locally.
How many gpm do these sprinklers require? I’m wanting to put something like this together for my yard but have no clue how many heads I can put in one zone.
I'm not sure. To give you an idea, I have 50 psi at the spigot and can only run 2 of these with a 1" irrigation pipe. Before I did the setup I used the garden hose and sat them on the spikes..that's when I found out that I could only run 2.
How do you mow the lawn with an underground irrigation system?
Just as mowing without it. The sprinkler heads and tubing will not interfere..that's the beauty of it 😊
@@LawnImprovement Thank you!
Subscribed. I need to replace a sprinkler that was professionally installed. Thanks.
Nice walk through!! Thinking of doing something similar for my front lawn! 😎
Thanks brother!! This setup really helped out this season. I hate moving sprinklers around. I appreciate ya for stopping by 👊🏼
Do you know what diameter the main tube is?
Hi, the underground tubing is 1/2 inch.

hi! sorry for the late response. The nozzle is just above ground level. I recommend to drain the pipes before the ground freezes to avoid damage :)
Awsome set up. Do you get complete head to head coverage or just some overlap. I have an odd shape lawn where it would be hard to get bead to head
My well wasn't putting out as much water as I'd like to, so I kind of needed to work with what I had to. These where only overlapping.
Love your system! I'm doing mine next week. Did you use just a regular garden hose to connect with the underground tube, or a specific one?

What type of camera are you using? Great pixel graphics
Hi, I'm using ba GoPro Hero 7 on this video. It's my 3rd camera and I think I'll be using it for a while!
Great job I'll be trying this out they quoted me 4 grand for 4 zones I like this idea better lol
That's a chunk of money!! I did my zones at different times because it's a lot of work, but can definitely save you some cash.

I didn't see a backflow preventer.
You're right!! I should definitely install a backflow preventer. I just moved to another house, when I get my system setup I'll put one in.
