Hard not to compare generations. I haven't heard much of Tim and this song definitely makes me more interested. His voice is not exactly the same as Jeff, but the similarity is haunting. The range, the power and control is all there.

Jeff Buckley was a huge talent, and might well have gone on to be be as great as his dad, had he not been taken so tragically young. But seriously, this song is Exhibit A that Tim was the once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon. Tim Buckley sounded like he came from another planet. He was touched with genius. This is one of the most nakedly carnal songs I've ever heard.

Tre, you were one of the first, if not the first, reactors on TH-cam. So, I'm grateful that you got around to this masterpiece that I've listened to for more than 45 years.

Tre, here's one that's hard to find on YT. At least, give it a listen. Voodoo Chile, the long, studio version by Hendrix from his album Electric Ladyland. th-cam.com/video/DLGl8Oc484Q/w-d-xo.html

Mary: the slow blues Voodoo Child or his iconic Voodoo Chile: Slight Return? I dig all the alien vibe but I'm partial to the water themes on the album, especially 1983...
