Mitred squares can be joined as you knit by picking up half the stitches from the previously knitted square. Much easier than sewing them together. Ends can be sewn in as you go.
Yes. This is true. However this is also a stand alone lesson for those wanting to make items individually and play with the squares then sew. I already have a lesson on what you are suggesting. Love the flexibility of knitting :)
Is there a pattern for picking up stitches rather than sewing? That would be so helpful please!
How are we twisting that stitch on the left square? Is there a video that I missed?
That one is from our last video with stripes. If you don’t have a color change or didn’t carry the yarn up the side then you can ignore that part and just work with the side edge purl bump and the cast on loop. Here is the link to the striped square video. th-cam.com/video/vDgFIJ9-2Q8/w-d-xo.html
