Don’t know why no one else did the thing with driving and changing modes to see it actually make a difference but I truly appreciated that. Just got a race chip for my b9.5 s5 and hoping it’s worth it
thanks for the review! was leaning towards jb4 bc it can get a bit more power from my s58 engine but now after seeing this, I think ill go race chip piggyback and pair it with their XLR. It seems from this review it'll feel quicker and be more responsive than it would with just a jb4 piggyback.
Got one for my S3 and wouldn’t be with out it now. I have it in S+ and gearbox in D. Perfect for everyday driving and when you want to have fun but put the gearbox in S with the XLR in S+ it’s an animal!! 🔥
I honestly didn’t think much of the idea until I actually had one on the car. Genuinely one of the easiest, affordable modifications with a huge noticeable difference. I’d love to see what it would be like on something like your S3! 👌🏻
I have an S3 and I notice a delay of 1 second when I put throttle vs when car reacts. Does this help with it (I dont want to modify the throttle curve but want to delete that delay)?
Why not? No power increase so very unlikely to cause damage. It’s all about the perception of faster acceleration through much more responsive throttle response!
It works with NA that’s wild , or is this the throttle one specifically,,, cos I’m looking at GTS I think it fiddles with boost sensor anyways nice vids honestly we appreciate this shi
Mines just came today. But mines didnt come with the controller. Im a bit confused on that part. Where the controller box is supposed to be there's a sticker thats says "app control". I thought the XLR unit comes with the controller with the option to control it via the app
Hi Dominic, I opted for app control and definitely got the controller bit - I seem to remember it was hidden with the other cables. Unless RaceChip have changed the design I’d get on to their customer support - they were really helpful with me.
@@brianlenny4918 the actual acceleration difference of your are foot flat is next to nothing but it’s the responsiveness a part throttle where you feel a big difference

Appreciate that buddy! Thought it was the easiest way to show the difference :) you’ll definitely enjoy it!
Was it worth it or trash?
@@redditmanllegnisthebirdofh9887 so it was nice on the Audi but I'm super impressed with it on my b58
Love it! Can’t wait to see what you do next!😃
Thanks you!!
I got one and it works just great!
Great video, I’m in the process of doing things to my S5 so great to have a reference
Thanks Jonathon, lot’s more on the S5 to come!

No worries! I’d like to one day do a back to back of both - I agree I think the RaceChip combination would give you that extra response!

@@rvarm21 Yes it deletes that delay and makes it much better to drive overall
@@chriscarrington1363 thats sad, now I have to spend 300$ haha
great video👍🏽
Thanks Emrah!
Great video mate…. Bit scared to try on 1.5 eco blue 120ps leased diesel focus though 😆 🤔 should I 😈?

Excellent presentation Jack ! Didn't understand a word but that's my problem ! Top gear here you come 😎
Thank you! Maybe one day 😉

@@JLMTAuto thanks, I'm about to email them now.
Cool vid jack
just wondering that if we put it on S+ then it will consume more fuel.
Hi Abid, if you were driving in S+ with the same throttle input from your foot then in theory yes you’d use more fuel :)
Is this strictly for automatic?
For manuals as well - my S5 is a manual :)
I’ve been seriously debating this for my Golf R. How’s the stop and go acceleration with this?

@@JLMTAuto i ordered it, I'll see how it is hopefully i like it.
