- I’ve been in Hawaii for about a few days now and sharing with you all the things I did and enjoyed. We had a neighborhood road cleanup, went to an Uncle Roberts concert on Wednesday night in Kalapana, picked papayas and shared with the pigs and geckos. Life is good. There are so many more videos of life in Hawaii still to come. Be sure to watch

You’re doing fabulous with your daily walks, esp keeping fit at our age ; I walk 2-3 times daily, which gives me energy and esp keeping me fit and from aches/pains
@@annchee1329 That’s awesome that you walk as well. Such simple and enjoyable way to keep fit, especially at our age like you mentioned. There is a saying in the medical field, “Motion is lotion” for our joints.
You are such a sweet lady! Thank you for your kindness in feeding the animals. You are living the aloha spirit 🌴🌈❤️🌺
My apologies as I totally missed your comment. Thank you so much for your beautiful comment. Bless you and aloha
Thank you for this video. I miss Hawaii I cannot wait to get back. My family owns property in HPP and we are near 11th and Paradise Road not too far from beach Road. The one thing I miss is when Night time comes in the night comes alive with a Coqui frogs and crickets and it’s so relaxing to hear it even though it’s loud but I still love it because it takes some time to get used to it and then when it’s time to fall asleep I don’t even snore. Well thank you for this video over here on the mainland but cannot wait to get back to the big island
Some people can’t stand coqui frogs but I love them. Perhaps I got lucky and don’t have too many around my house but I miss them when I come back to San Diego and have to play a recording of if it to fall asleep. I hope you get a chance to go back soon. Mahalo
I really enjoyed your video. Its so peaceful
Welcome to the Big Island. I’m sure you will continue to enjoy yourself here. 😊

I’m so excited for you to go there. Last time I was at Ross, they did have a section for Hawaiian style clothes and accessories. Hope you enjoy your time

I love aunty Emily as well. She has one of those one of a kind hearts that is so hard to find. She prayed for me when I broke my hand not that long ago. Thank you for mentioning that.

What about all the crime? Expense of living? Lack of infrastructure? Lack of medical care?
I am surprised that Uncle Roberts Event is still going on. Good Times.
Oh yes it is absolutely going strong. However, I hear that attendance is not as much as it used to be before 2020 Covid era.
@@Nastaran.Battles//only on Wednesday evening right?
@@wellversedhealthyhealing9979 Yes, however they play at Kaleo’s restaurant in orchiland , and on Fridays at Malama’s supermarket.

Mahalo for watching Janine.
Love watching your TH-cam ❤
I have been wanting to go back to Oahu as my son is in Honolulu but would love to be in Big Island
I am alone with 3 toy poodles. Is it safe in where you live?
Aloha to you and thank you for your comment. I imagine you want to be with your son in Oahu. I lived in Oahu for three years and loved every minute of it is is beautiful and each island definitely has its own vibe but they’re all beautiful. I bet your three poodles keep you very busy. I would love to have a dog right now, but traveling will be hard. There is crime no matter what place in the world you go you just have to be very vigilant and protect yourself. I certainly learned my lesson and be a lot more careful. Thank you for watching and I hope to hear from you in the next videos.
How do I join as a volunteer to for the clean-up on Government Road?
We do cleanup every second Saturday of the month. Next one being on 7/13/2024. We meet at the Honolulu landing on the government beach road at the lower Hawaiian shores, at 8:30 morning. Trash Bags will be provided but it’s a good idea to bring your own gloves and picker if you need one, and lots of water
Ah-wah not A-wah.
Thank you
Is this what?
