I genuinely do not understand why we would need MLS experienced players past their prime. There’s a reason they stopped getting called up and used with Gregg. Why wouldn’t Poch find his own leaders amongst the current Fullback/CB pool? We have so many early to mid 20’s options. Plus if leadership and voice is such an issue, why couldn’t Jedi be the captain and play as a LCB to replace Ream? Especially if we’re going to continue with a back 3- and it’s not like we don’t have more than enough Midfielders that can play in the back line. The depth is there.
To be fair to Zimmerman, he plays better attacking play week in and week out than Celtic plays, outside of a few champions league games and rangers 2/3 times
Players came out and said that GGG's tactics were so complicated. It's not American Football. You should not be calling plays, unless it is a set piece. As stated it is a fluid game.
Z-man has a ton of experience and he has the ability to Marshall that backline and sometimes you need the no nonsense hard man in the backline. Bothe Ream amd Mckenzie can pass the ball.
I don’t like deciding if players are national team caliber when they are 18-22. Let them grow, develop and mature and then the decision can be made. In the case of LB, Robinson was playing for newly promoted Championship clubs when he was 20 and 21 (John Tolkien’s age).
Zimmerman's greatest world cup experience was conceding a penalty against Wales.
That bit is getting old
And a clean sheet against England...
The thought of Zimmerman getting called up is also old. When was the last time he got called up to a camp?

Charlie is one of Santas elves. Busy period.
Yes Tolkin is a future national team. You need depth. Injuries happen.
I want Canada in the Final!
No hitting Panama players, Timmy.

You really want a guy that was getting burned at the Olympics?
"Big Time" Charlie Davies 🙄 Edit: Tbf tho, it went a little smoother w/o Charlie. More coherent. Might be into something here...
