Could you please front a campaign as you have a TH-cam channel? Could you make a video asking everyone in the country to stop paying for their TV licences as of Tuesday 2nd January 2024? It could bring the licence fee/tax/whatever you want to call it to an end immediately if people just stood together. This is what the real purpose of social media platforms should be all about. If say 2 - 5 million licences were cancelled in one go, they'd collapse as they wouldn't be able to chase all these people up. It must be worth a shout, yes?
I cant encourage people to break the law, that would be asking for trouble and youtube would probably pull the plug. Most people dont realise they can opt out, as long as they dont break the rules/law. I'm doing my best by doing these videos, and will continue to do so. Just try to start a campaign to do this instead of just covering the receiving of the letters. I'm not trying to have a go I genuinely don't see the creators like yourself or Chillijon asking it this way. Set a date and just see if people will respond? I’ve recently cancelled my license. I expect the same letters then. They are very sneaky in their wording in the site . Sometimes vague
I did hear that it was being proposed to amalgamate the license with council tax . Anyone hear that?
