Temporary color products are better. this feather look makes you commit to a oily look, which looks a bit nasty, while just a temporary coloring goo type of product would be more flexible and work with cleaner looks.

As somebody who has worked a lot with feathers, just be careful because some of the dyed feathers can bleed a lot depending on what products to use. You could stain your hair. As an advocate and a proud member of The brightly dyed hair club, it's not that I'm concerned that you might have fun colors in your hair, it's more that I'm concerned you might end up with ugly splotchy color if you have really light hair and it might be very hard to get it out and it might be an unforeseen complication that could be very easily avoided. This is just a warning for anyone who doesn't want to risk accidentally dying some of their hair.
