Cottonwood Tree Milled into Poplar Lumber and a Bowl Turned

Beautiful lumber from this Cottonwood tree. Poplar is a term used for a variety of a lot of different trees here in the US. Poplar, Tulip, Cottonwood, and Aspen all produce Poplar wood. I go over some of the different types of trees in this video that make Poplar wood. We mill this tree out into lumber but not before a woodturner poaches a piece of one of the logs and turns a beautiful bowl out of it. Milling and Turning.

Cotton wood logs make excellent drums!

You can hollow out the logs with a chain saw. I have one I am storing if you want to see it.
